Hi, My husband, myself and our 10 month old little girl will be moving to the Grosse Pointe area in late July, early August. We have currently been going to a non-denominational church and we love it. We are looking for a place to worship -if any of you mothers know of a good church, please pass let me know.
Thanks, H.

1st of all, Welcome to Michigan! You might like to try out Lakeshore Presbyterian Church in St Clair shores. They have modern and traditional services. There are also bible studies, small groups, Elements program (bible song) for children during and between services. There is also nursery services for newborn to 4 yr old. LakeShore is just north of Grosse Pointe. It is located on Jefferson 1 block north of 11 Mile Road.

Hi H.!
I am so excited to tell you about Paradox Church! My husband and I have been going since this past March. They just opened their doors in Sept. 2006 so they are new as well. There motto is No perfect people allowed, which makes me feel good because I know that in the past I felt like I wasn't good enought to go to church because of other people around me. I guess you could say that they are a non-danominational church. We all have the same core ideas but we might be at a different place in our faith. It's a pretty young crowd church (for the most part) lots and lots of baby's and young kids! My husband grew up catholic and lost his faith and HATED church. When we went for the 1st visit we know that we had found a church to call home and that says a lot for us. I attached their link so you can check them out online. I could go on and on about Paradox so if you have any questions please feel free to contact me! Good luck in your new journey and Gods Blessings to you and your family!

Dear H.,
My family also attends Woodside Bible Church. Woodside has something for everyone. They have 3 campuses one in Troy, Warren and White Lake. The Warren Campus would probably be closer to you. We have 2 children and they are in many of their programs,(Upward Basket Ball, Awanas, Guitar, Piano, Ballet I could go on and on my children are 11 and 7 however they have been involved in the Church since they were babies. My husband is on the Tech team and the CERT team. My mother belongs to their PEP club (People Encourageing People). They have many mom groups. We could not ask for a better Church.
If you would like to know more on Woodside check out their web site out at WWW.Woodsidebible.org. If you would like to talk about the church please leave me a message and I will get back with you. Welcome to Michigan and have a Blessed Day serving our Lord. In His service, B.

It will still be a drive away, about 5 or 6 miles to the church I suggest, but it's worth it! It's Woodside Bible Church, also known as, Woodside of Warren or WOW. It's a non-denom, fundamental bible church. Friendly and welcoming. They have 2 services, one at 9am and and one at 10:30.

I usually go to a bible study at 9am (going through Acts right now) then go to the later service. I prefer the first on though, it's traditional hymns, and the 2nd one is contemporary.

the website is www.woodsidebible.org

Congrats to your DH on his job at St. John's... hope you enjoy the area.
