Looking for a Birthday Cake for My Son's Dinosaur Party

I'm looking for someone or somewhere to get a cake for my son's dinosaur party. I want a cake that is shaped like a dinosuar and has buttercream icing all over it with star- tip. I am not looking for a fondant cake. If you know of anyone that makes cakes out of their home or a place that does cakes like this and is reasonably priced, please let me know! I am in the Coppell area, however the party is in Arlington, so I am willing to go just about anywhere in the metroplex.
Thanks in advance!

Panini Bakery in Preston Center does amazing cakes. They did my son's cake last year for his train-themed birthday party. You can take the invitation to give them an idea of theme, colors, etc. They are on the pricey side but I think well worth it. The cake with berries (can't remember if it's strawberries or raspberries) and whipped cream in the center is amazing! I've also gone to Tart Bakery at Lovers Lane and Inwood for specialized sugar cookies (they did train cookies for me) that were adorable.

I've used Cakes Amore in Plano, and have recommended them to many people. They are SO wonderful!! They will do anything you want. Once, I took a picture of a cake that was actually made with fondant. I REALLY didn't want fondant, so they made the exact cake without, and it was beautiful! I've also had really neat cupcakes made a few different times. I've found them really reasonable price wise, especially for the customer service and quality.

I got my son's dinosaur cake from a local bakery here. It wasn't star-tipped, but it was regular buttercream icing and looked so cute! It was a huge blue brachiosaurus with a really cute face. I would call or google local bakeries -they can probably do something perfect for you!

I also don't know if you have Publix grocery stores there, but they do a very cute dinosaur cake in their bakery.

Hi! My husband decorates but that won't help you. We once made a dinosaur egg out of ice cream and imbedded it with lots and lots of little plastic dinosaurs. Then we used whipped cream to create a great multicolored eggshell. Cutting and serving it was great fun!!!!

Have you tried the normal bakeries in the grocery store? We have had great luck with ours. They do practically everything and a dino cake is a pretty common request. Good luck!
