Looking for a Beauty Salon
hey ladies! i'm about to do a whole makeover and i have no idea where to go to get my hair cut. i have extremely long hair and i've always just gone to places like supercuts to get trims. but i'm going to be donating my hair to Locks of Love and starting over with a whole new look so i want to go some place good, but not too expensive. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Try Goo on Fairfax or Rudy's on Sunset. I have long hair with layers. I just get a trim (no color) and refuse to pay fancy salon prices. Both places are really relaxed easy to get in. Rudy's is an edgy rock-n-roll salon with barber shop prices. I keep thinking I'm going to go short and when I do, I think Rudy's would be the place to go.

Hi! Are you Winnetka as in near Woodland Hills??? There's a salon on DeSoto and Ventura that has some good stylists ... you could come to Agoura and go to Mira Bella and see Micki ..
Good Luck -- my daughter did locks for love - it's amazing ....good for you!!

Try the Toni & Guys Academy Salon in Santa Monica. It takes 3 hours because it is a learning salon, but they are really good and the instructors are awesome. My hair grows really fast and 3 inches later the style still looks perfect... and it only cost $20, $10 if you have a valid student ID.
The last time my friend and i went, she donated ALL of her hair and they did a great job too with the little she had left. Good luck.

Go see Grazi DeFonte. Her number is ###-###-####. She works out of a salon in Van Nuys and also has a complete mini salon at her home in Northridge. She gives fantastic cuts that grow out wonderfully and her prices are extremely reasonable. She is great!

if you can get to montrose, i highly highly recommend emma at the perfect touch salon. she was a stylist at fred segal beauty for a long time before they closed. she is awesome! here you can get a highly trained stylist for a third of the price she used to charge.
she also works on some saturdays and thursdays in santa monica. if you want info about that salon send me a message and i'll find out the name of it for you.
