Hi!
I live in the Thornton area and am wondering if anyone know of any 2nd Hand Childrens stores that I can sell my baby clothes at? I've gone to the one on 120th and Washington, but they aren't accepting the size clothes I have right now and quite frankly, they can seem a bit rude at times. I have baby girl clothes that are in GREAT condition for the spring and I'd like to pass them on to others that could use them.
Thank you for any information!

What can I do next?

Depending on where in Thornton, there is Once Upon a Child in Arvada and in Longmont (HWY 119) They are pretty fair at most times, and what they don't take you can request them to donate. It is a program for foster care children.

I shop at My Crib all the time and they are friendly with very nice clothes. I know that they are accepting spring/summer clothes right now. It is not as close to you as Once Upon a Child but might be worth the trip. It is located at 44th & Wadsworth in Wheat Ridge just south of I-70.

Hi J.,

I would suggest trying out Once Upon a Child. It's approximately 80th and Sheridan. It's kind of out of the way from where we live, but they have a store with tons of clothes and hardly ever turn you away from selling. Just go earlier in the day rather than later. If they have bought alot of clothes during the day and they get behind, they sometimes stop buying around 3pm...

I have found they also have really good quality clothes for younger kids. My son is now 3, and I haven't gone to get him stuff for aboug 6 mo, but up to the age of 3 they had a pretty good gently used section.

Good luck. :-)

Once upon a child is wonderful. I don't know how close you are to them, but they are on 80th and Sheridan in Westminster/Arvada. They'll take all sizes and seasons. What they don't want they will eithergive ack or donate to the homeless shelter on your behalf.

hi so i found one in brighton right off bridge and main street i dont know the name i think its called K.I.D.S., there is also quite a few in longmont and boulder i agree about the rudeness of the one you spoke about if you have no luck at any of these places i would post on craigs list or if you just want them to go to a good home with no reimbursement there is a great pregnancy center on 102nd and washinton that will take all kinds of baby stuff and give it to needy mothers and it a tax deduction hope this helps .

Try a site called GumdropSwap (http://gumdropswap.com). You can swap from anywhere in the US by sending the clothes your kids outgrow to this kids boutique in CT. It's instant gratification. As long your things are in good condition they don't turn down anything because of brand, size or season. They take everything unlike resale store like Once Upon a Child! They give you points to shop on the website and send the clothes that fit your kids. It's great if you don't have time, patience or know how to do consignment, Ebay, craigslist, tag sale, etc.

Hi,
I am actually an ex Denver resident (now residing back in Sydney ,Australia). I am in much the same predicament as you except with boys clothing (lot's of great designer gear that has been worn only once or twice !!!), anyway why don't you try a yard sale or utilize the World Wide Web and post the goods on E-Bay. Over here we also have a range of Parenting websites on which you may be able to list your goods of which you could probably find for your part of the World.Best of luck. Regards Karen (Mum to Evan 3 & Owen 1).

If you don't need the money from selling them you could donate them to either a women and children's shelter or a teen parenting program like Genesis. Otherwise I would try Craigslist. Hope this helps.

There is a great company called Just Between Friends that hosts a huge bi-annual consignment sale in areas all over Colorado. The great thing is that you get to set the price for your clothes and you get 60-70%of whatever you sale. They take everything from preemie up to size 14 and they take furniture, toys, clothes, shoes, car seats andenything else child-related. Their website is www.jbf.com.
