I am in Deer Park and my son who is 3 is in the preschool program the city puts on. He is having a wonderful time and it goes from ages 2 through 5. He has learned many things. They can go from 5 days a week to 3 days to 2 days which is what my son does.

I have a friend whose children attended the Varnett School. She had nothing but GREAT things to say about it. I haven't had the opportunity to "check them out", but here's their website ... http://www.varnett.org/

I hope this helps you!

My kids attend Sunshine Childrens World on Hughes and Beamer in Southeast Houston ###-###-####. I love the school. They have been there since they were about 2yrs old. They attended PreK and Kindergarten there. The school goes to 1st or 2nd grade. Give them a call to check it out.

My just turned 4 year old goes to Discovery Kingdom at Clear Lake Christian School. It is the preschool program. They use the Abeka Curriculum, which is fantastic. Phonics and lots of hands on. He is alreay reading some little words. It is on Crescent Landing off of Clear Lake City Blvd.

St. Paul's School....located downtown on Main Street.

You might trying calling information and asking for "initiatives for childeren" they are a non profit service sponsored by DelPelchin Childrens center who will provide FREE childcare information. Once you contact "initiatives for children" they will ask questions such as child age, location, times you will need, and center preferences (i.e. in home, daycare, montessori) and they will fax you all the information you will need regarding the state registered centers. It was a great source for me when I needed childcare when I had my oldest.
GOOD LUCK!

My 6 year went to La Branch Child Development center on Austin and La Branch Streets in Midtown, just down the street from St. Joseph's Hospital. It is located in a Federal Building. They take infants to children at 5 years of age. They definitely prepared her for regular Pre-k and kindergarten. Most of the staff has been there for at least 4 years which says alot for child care. They are very nurturing. My nine month is now attending daycare there. Their number is ###-###-####. The director is Daphne Henderson and the Assist Director is Tiffany Guerrero.

My name is G. Mendoza. Feel free to call me at ###-###-#### if you have questions. Tell them I sent you.

I am not sure where you are located and if this would be close enough, but i just signed my three year old son up at the Methodist WEekday School in Deer Park on 13th street.
I have heard nothing but rave reviews about how wonderful they are. A couple weeks ago when I went to sign my son up I was very impresse with the facilities and staff.
They have several options for pre-school and their prices are really great.

Here's their number if you are interested: ###-###-####
