Location for Bridal Shower

I'm looking for a great bridal shower location in the Columbus area. We will have 30-40 people, so it's too large of a group to host at our house. I'm hoping to avoid expensive room rental fees if possible. We were thinking about a brunch event, but nothing has been finalized yet. It will take place in mid-April. Any suggestions? Thanks!

What can I do next?

Wm. Graystone Wine Cellar downtown is where our daughter was married. I have hosted 3 Valentine's day dinners for our church couples group there since that time, approx. 40 people each time. There are stairs, bu also ask them about the elevator if you need access.

The atmosphere is LOVELY!!!! I recommend it!

I don't know how much it costs, but the Franklin Park Conservatory is beautiful.

Most churches will also let you use thier comunity rooms, sometimes for very small fees.

I hope you have fun!

I just hosted a baby shower at brio on Polaris Parkway this past weekend.

The upstairs has a private room with a bar.

it was lovely.

Hi L.,

When we were planning my baby shower brunch, we booked Lindey's in German Village. They have rooms of multiple sizes, a terrace, and a library where you can have your event, and they can even cater the brunch for you too. There is a fee to book the room, but I think it is only $75, fully refundable in case you have to cancel (we know because I ended up in the hospital on bedrest and had to cancel at the last minute). The brunch menu is great - we love the food, and the ambiance is perfect for a shower.

If that is not up your alley, I've also found that if you know someone who lives in a condo/apt. complex and is willing to reserve the complex's community room, you're probably off to a great start! They have kitchens, are easy to decorate, and usually only cost $10 or so (if anything) to reserve.

Good luck with the planning!

Hello.... I know of a few places where I have had showers or events. If you want no mess to clean up & food I suggest:
Hometown Buffet or Golden Corral they both have a private rooms and the price is good. You have to call them. You get discounted rates for that many people.
I run a roofing business, and I set our meetings up there.
Also have had them at Holiday Inn, but they are more expensive.

A good idea might me something like the pavilion at the park of roses. There are also a couple other city parks that have pavilions. They are beautiful stone buildings with fireplaces if you wanted to use them. They have a kitchen also if you need an area to prep food and the staff takes care of setting up and tearing down all the tables and chairs. You merely provide them with the layout for what you desire. We recently had a 60th birthday party for my Mom and Aunt at one of the parks and found it to be very reasonably priced and quite convenient for parking, decorating, etc...

Panera has rooms, I don't know the policy and they may not be big enough for a group that size but it's a place to consider.

Some condo and apartment complexes have rooms available to rent for nominal fees.

Churches also have rooms available, especially if one of the hosts is a member.

For brunch places... Mimi's Cafe at Polaris might have a room for a private party. I know Salvi's on the west side does.
