Local Support - Pearl River/N.Slidell Area

There is a nice farmers market in Covington. Its about 20 minutes from Slidell back to the west.I think it is on Wednesdays and is in the square around the court house. Hammond also has a nice market on Saturdays in Cate Square park.

Hey, not from there, but even if you can't find a farmer's market, maybe you can find a cooperative buying group or community supported agriculture arrangement. There is a farmer's market at the trailhead in Mandeville on Girod Street (Saturdays 9-2), there is another in Covington adjacent to the new court house (Saturdays and Wednesdays)and there is also a relatively new one at the trailhead in Abita Springs, not far from the Abita Brewery (yum) -I think this last one is only on Saturday.
