Interested in getting lipo done on my thighs and stomach. Having 2 kids has wreaked havoc on my body. Have any of you had it done and what are your opinions on it?? Are you happy with the results? What kind of prices am i looking at? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

What can I do next?

The only person I've known well who had it done actually bled to death. Diet and exercise, though boring and taking longer, is still the best way. You don't want to leave those 2 children motherless.

You should look into Body Jet, water assisted lipo at Plano Aesthetics. It's far more gentle than traditional lipo. Less swelling, less bruising and most patients are up and about the next day - something a mom of 2 will appreciate! I haven't had water lip done, I've just heard a lot about it. Check out the website at www.planoaesthetics.com. Also, check out their news section on the website, Body Jet has been featured throughout DFW on the various news stations. It was even featured on Good Morning America last week.

If you would call Dr. Donna Smith of Advanced Clinical Nutrition and ask her about the 30 day cleanse she prescribes you would save yourself all that money on the surgery AND the trauma your body would suffer from being poked and prodded like that. It's not natural! The cleanse is less than $500 and will do WAY more good for your body than liposuction. She can be reached at ###-###-#### or email ____@____.com won't get increased energy from liposuction and an all around healthy glow and attitude! Her website is www.advancedclinicalnutrition.com Good luck! Don't do liposuction!

I work for a board-certified plastic surgeon (www.DrMichaelBogdan.com). Dr. Bogdan's credentials are remarkable, and his integrity, professionalism, and caring manner are just a few reasons why he receives countless referrals from other patients.

Liposuction is designed for removal of localized areas of fat. Thighs are a common area, but most women who have had kids are better suited for a tummy tuck. Dr. Bogdan's website has more information and a video about abdominoplasty (tummy tucks).

I had a friend who had liposuction. She looked great, however she gained back a little weight and surprise. The fat doesn't adhere to the skin after liposuction so it gives you a real cottage cheese effect. Ask your doctor before you have it done.

My kids wreaked havoc on my body as well. I have managed to save my thighs by walking several days a week. My tummy after two C-sections is not so resilient.

I have not been through it, but think if it's what you want to do, you should! You worked hard having those babies, now do something for yourself.

Ooo, that body jet thing sounds interesting! But first, is your little princess still just 3 months old? Or really, still under a year old? If so, I would wait to do any plastic surgery of any kind. Your body takes a full YEAR AFTER you finish breastfeeding to return to it's "normal" metabolism. I nursed my older 2 kids until they were one and right when I finished with them my boobs looked like empty, stretched out tube socke! But after a few months, and some serious bench pressing, they perked up a "bit". I'm getting ready to wean my almost 12 month old, and I'm expecting the same thing to happen. I'm going to wait at least a year before looking into "fixing" my body. Plus I'm going to the gym everyday. I sure wouldn't want to get lipo without trying everything I can on my own first.
