Lillebaby Eurotote

Just wondering if anyone has bought a Lillebaby Eurotote? I'm due soon & it looks like a great option instead of a moses basket & other carriers. I used a Baby Bjorn for my daughter, but am looking for something the baby can sleep in with the option of taking it off & on without waking the baby up.

What can I do next?

If you go on doctorsears.com they have a sling for like $30. I used this and it was awesome. They fall so deep asleep and when you try to put them down they usually stay asleep. Good luck.

I'm not familiar with the Eurotote. I can reccomend a great website though. Try http://www.cottoncradles.com/ I used the HUG-A-BUB. I enjoyed it until the kids got too tall or too heavy. It supports the back and is fully adjustable. The non-streachy fabrics allow for side and back carry positions. Check it out!

I am a mother of 5 and have used the baby Bjorn and different types of slings throughout motherhood. I have never used the Lillebaby Eurotote, but it just doesn't look safe to me. I think it would be hard to balance baby properly on one shoulder and I can just imagine baby tipping over and falling to the ground. I am usually very open to new products, but I wouldn't trust this one unless I knew a few people that had used it and LOVED it. I personally love the Dr. Sears baby sling. I have used it for the last 5 years and I have walked, nursed, cooked, cleaned, etc. with it on. I also found that my babies would be so comfy in it that most of the time I would continue to wear them even when they fell asleep, but also found it easy to just release the strap a little to lift it over my head, lay them down, and use the sling as a blanket even. It was a blessing to me, and SAFE. God bless you with #2. How exciting, D.!

Get a Moby wrap! I received one as a shower gift when I was pregnant with my second and already had a 2 year old. My newborn was in that wrap until he was about 5 months before I transferred him to the ERGO carrier, but my best friends still use their wraps on their nearly 2 year olds!! My newborn baby would sleep in the wrap for up to 5 hours at a time while I played and took care of my toddler!! I had the Bjorn with my first and it does NOT compare to the Moby. The Moby is cozy for mom and baby and distributes the weight across the whole back. That wrap was one of the main inspirations for my store, Belly Sprout and it is one of the most popular items. I can't imagine not having one with my second!!

I bought an Ergo baby carrier. You can use it up until the child is 3 -5 I believe. Unfortunately, I never really used it that much. I think I used it twice because my baby is just a big baby! She is 20 months and wears size 2T. She loves to walk everywhere so we don't really use it. Walking for exercise is better! It is great though, you should check it out online.

Seriously consider a sling or wrap, I think the easiest type I've used for getting baby to sleep and then putting him down without waking is a ring sling. You can loosen it enough to slip it over your head and just lay baby down, I can't imgine trying to carry my baby around in a basket, the sling keeps them close enough to avoid back strain and comfy enough to soothe them to sleep quickly and easily :) Good luck!

i used the baby bjorn with my older daughter. with my second i switched to the new native carrier which i think is great for younger babies. with this carrier, it seems to be hit or miss b/c while i absolutely loved it, i know people who absolutely hated it. my baby would fall asleep instantly in it (or just be content to be in it). i was amazed with how it worked with her, especially at 2am. at this time, if she didn't want to go to sleep, i would just put her in this carrier and she would go out within 5-10 minutes. sometimes i would transfer her to the bouncer or crib and let her stay in the sling. probably not recommended but i never had any problems with it. the carrier is made out of cotton material (no rings or clips) and it served like a little cocoon blanket. even if you do try to get her out of the sling, it is much easier to do than the baby bjorn. i think at around 16 lbs, my back started to hurt so even if the weight limit is a lot higher, i switched to a tommee tippee hip carrier which i absolutely loved too! she is 19 months and i still use it...no back pain at all. hope this helps.

I have never used it, but it looks like it could be horribly uncomfortable to carry around and also really awkward. Not to mention it looks very very warm and it is about to be summer so using it out and about could be difficult because the baby may overheat.

Also a lot of babies prefer the carrier type option because they like to be held. Have you considered a sling? There are MANY sling options nowadays and they are not all what people think of when they think of "slings". Many slings are nothing more than simple fabric and you can easily take it off without waking baby up.

The Ergo Baby Carrier is amazing and it grows with your child. My son is almost 2 and I still carry him in it. It is also the only carrier that I have used that didn't aggrivate my back. Hope this helps!
