Lightweight Umbrella Strollers

I’ve been doing some research to buy a new lightweight umbrella stroller for my 17 mo. Old baby, but I don’t want something that’s too expensive (under $150.00). This will end up being my main stroller since the Graco from my travel system is big, bulky and heavy.
So far the 3 that seem to have good reviews, have most of what I need (must recline almost flat, not very bulky, light weight, easy to fold and unfold) and have a decent price are:
• Keekaroo Karoo Lightweight
• Mia Moda Veloce
Chicco Lightway
Does anyone use any of these three strollers? What has been your experience with them (likes/dislikes)? Is there another umbrella stroller with similar characteristics you absolutely love and why?
Thank you

What can I do next?

I loved my Maclaren! I went through about 6 strollers between two kids. I came upon the Maclaren last and wished that it would have been first. It is super light, easy to fold, has a carrying strap and storage bin. Look on the internet and ebay. You can find pretty good deals there. I was sad the day I got rid of mine--"baby" was finally too old at 5.

I have not used any of these brands; but one word of advice - make sure you don't have to lean over or hunch down to push the stroller. We've had four (have twins) and the second set we bought were nicer than the first, but we have to lean over to push them. They weren't our main stroller though, but if you are buying for your main stroller, I would make sure you can walk upright to push it.

I don't know about the strollers you ahve mentioned but I absolutely love my Maclaren, and I know you can find them for less than $150 online. It is super lightweight (about 11 Ibs), most of them recline almost flat (not the Volo model), and they even have a carry strap so you can carry them while folded. They hold a child up to 55 Ibs in weight. They are super durable, mine fell out the back of my Jeep as my husband pulled away from a light and all the damage it had was a wobbly wheel that I thought would have to fall off. That stroller lasted another three years with the wobbly wheel. They are soooo comfortable to push too. I wouldn't buy any other brand of lightweight stroller. Mine lasted about 5 five years, through 3 kids and I only got rid of it because I no longer needed it.
P.S Albeebaby.com usually has them on sale for around $120 - $150 with free shipping.

I also (like a poster below) have a Combi. I love it, its super lightweight, and it has a basket underneath. It is the Flare model- you can find them for $70-100, depending on the color and where you buy.

Hi!!! I do not know about those strollers but I have combi and it's very easy to fold, it reclines almost flat and very light....
Good luck!

I got an umbrella stroller from Babies R Us for about $20 and it works just fine. We used it for our son from about 18 months to 3 years. It was super lightweight but still very comfortable for him to ride in. It unfolds with one hand and takes up zero room in the back of the car. The only downside is that is is SO lightweight, if I hang my purse or a bag on the handle & my son is not in the stroller, it tips right over.

Your best bet is to google the brands you are looking for and add customer reviews in your google. I have read the reviews on many items that I had planned on buying and thanks to their sharing their bad experiences, or good, they either confirmed my choice or led me to better options and saved me the frustrations they shared on their reviews. As for umbrella strollers, I would say you could get a decent one for way under $70!
