Leaking Sippy Cups
I feel like I have tried every sippy cup. Has any one found a great one that doesn't leak!

The best sippy cups I ever found were the Avent sippy cups. You can throw them across the room and they won't leak.

I agree with the other posters that there is no "perfect" sippy cup, I have noticed that after a little while they all start to leak. I don't know if it's the seal or what, maybe if you try replacing the valves every couple of months that might help. I haven't tried this yet (just thought of it actually) but I have noticed that practically any cup is spill-proof when they are new. I don't recommend the cups that have the hard plastic valves instead of the rubber, when the kids throw them the valve falls into the cup. Let us know if you do find the "perfect" cup!!! Good luck on your search

I can't think of the brand of the cups to save my life right now but Target has them. They come 2 in a package for about $7.99 I believe. I know they have Elmo and Thomas - my son has those ones. They do not have a stopper in them but which is why I believe they actually work. Everyone that my son has that has a rubber stopper in them leaks but these ones are great!

Nuby cups are pretty good but depending on the nipple, the plastic wears out and then they begin to leak. Recently, I started using the Playtex brand with the hard top and it seems to work well.
I don't think any of them are totally spill proof and they probably make them that way so we'll keep going out and buying more. ;-)
Cheers,

Hi, K.,
I know exactly what you're talking about. Some of the cups mentioned I've tried and they've leaked, too. It's a big problem for the carpet and sofa. I do have one that I've had a lot of luck with, though, and you may like them, too (if you haven't already tried them). They are the Gerber color changing sippy sups. Something about about the insert seems to work pretty well and you can get replacement inserts. I originally got them because I thought they were neat - guilty pleasure for me, my son couldn't care less - and they really worked out. I have others that I use when need to, but those are my favorite. Hope that helps.

Hi K.! I use the Nuby cups with the straw. The straws are hard to keep track of, but I heard that they're better for their teeth than sippy cips. They have the tall ones at target, but Wal mart has the ones with the handles on the side. At first my son couldn't hold the tall ones, but now he can use both kinds... It doesn't leak too much, just occasionally (usually in my purse:)
