I start getting all the symptoms of it, and i did but no bleeding. So then I started the other day, and my lower back was hurting alot. Since my period started everytime I stand up I have to go to the restroom and sorry to get graphic but I am passing all these huge clots. Whats going on?? Any help is apreciated.
-PS- I have always been a heavy clotter, plus i get cysts.

What can I do next?

Hello,
I had this happen to me and found out I had fibroids. I lost so much blood they wanted to do an emergency blood transfusion. I ended up going to an osteopathic doctor in Benbrook who put me on some supplements that stopped my 3 week bleeding within a month bringing it back down to 5 days. My original OBGYN wanted to do a hysterectomy. If you are interested, I can give you the name of the osteopathic doctor. Good luck.

I would go to the Dr with this info. I have cysts too, so you should know that the best thing for us is to get on birth control and stay on it. The pill is the only thing I know of the help with both of those things.

You didn't mention your age, it could be a couple things. One would be a miscarriage in the very early stages or two it could be endometrosis. I have had both in the past and you don't want to wait to seek medical advice. I waited and I paid the price. Make an appointment ASAP, and good luck.

I am an OB/GYN nurse. Could it have been possible you were pregnant and miscarried? You might want to go in and see your GYN. If you continue to bleed heavy with large clots you definitely want to be seen, especially if the clots are egg size or larger. Your GYN doctor will draw some blood which may be able to confirm this. Woman miscarry all the time and don't realize it, it is very common. But sometimes if everything from the miscarriage is not released from the body, the body will continue to bleed and clot. If this continues please seek medical help, your body may need some assistance. I hope you are back to normal soon!!!

This is not uncommon. It could be PCOS, endometreosos, or miscarriage or just a stressful month.
Call your doctor and talk to the nurse about it

I did the same thing, The clots were pollups. After several months of this [please don't wait that long} I had a DNC. My last two months have been normal 5 day periods. Be sure you take Iron and see your gyncologists. If possible, stay off you feet as much. I know, moms can't do this, but that's what they told me. :)

It could be a very early miscarriage (a chemical pregnancy) if you were that late. I have had a couple of chemical pregnancies and believe it or not they are very heavy, hurt bad and often times you have a backache too. Just a thought. I would call your doctor though.

I hate to say this, but you may be having a miscarriage. I just had one and had the same thing happen. You should call your gynecologist right away.

Go see an obgyn. If you pass too many large clots and blood you will be in bad shape. This same scenario happened to me when I started taking birth control two years ago and it turns out my body was trying to flush out a large fibroid that had grown in my uterus. Large clots were passing after several days of a normal period. They got more frequent and more intense. Ended up losing too much blood and in ER and got two units of blood put in me. Not fun. Go to OBG right away to avoid losing too much blood. She can help the bleeding stop and do some tests to see if you have a large fibroid.

It sounds as though you really need to see your doctor. You could either have fibroids (benign tumors) or need to have a D&C which is simple procedure to clean your uterus. I would strongly recommend that you see a doctor as soon as possible.

It is possible that you may have been pregnant and miscarried. That happens sometimes and the woman never even knows it. Call your doctor and tell him/her all about it. Good luck!

I would say you may have misscarried but since you have a history of clotting and have cysts I don't know. If you start to run fever or start feeling not right go see your doctor soon. Take Care.

That just happened to me about 2 weeks ago. I took a pregnancy test on the day I missed my period (you could set clocks with my cycle, I'm so regular. So I KNEW I had to be pregnant). It came back positive, which was confirmed with a visit to my OB/GYN the following week. But the very next day, I started to bleed heavily, with large clots.

I had a miscarriage, which sounds like what you may be experiencing.

Go see your doctor right away, since they need to do some tests to make sure everything has successfully "vacated" and that they don't have to do a D&C.

They checked this for me by just doing a simple blood test to check hormone levels...it was very fast and easy---no physical exam needed, in my case.

I hope this helps!

I may be wrong but it sounds like you may be having a miscarriage. You mght have been pregnant and didn't know it, which explains why you were late. This has happened to me. It was very unusual for me to be late, because I'm so regular. And then I had a really heavy period with clots. I don't think it's any thing to worry about in this case. If you think this is not the case listen to your body and your instinct and get it checked out.

A lot of times when that happens it is a very early miscarriage. Any possibility you were pregnant?? You should call your Dr and go in ASAP. It could also be any number of other things, or nothing at all. I would go to the DR just to be safe. Good Luck!

Yes the best thing for you to do is go to your doctor. Have them put you on a birthcontrol that has low estrogen this has happened to me and it makes the clots smaller and almost go away completly. You may have to change a couple of times to get the right one but it helps.

Get to a doctor and get an exam. It could be a number of things but they can help. One thing I thought of when reading your complaints was endometriosis. My symptom was a lower back ache. I know heavy periods is another one. A.

Any chance you could've been pregnant? If so, you may have had a miscarriage. You may want to contact your GYN.
