i am going to 42 yrs old this coming april 29, 2013, my menstruation sometimes late for 1 month. then this time iam worried
because my last menstruation is dec. 3, 2012 , expected on jan. 3, 2013 till this month of feb. im still waiting. last feb 16, i do preg. test
but the result is negative. my question, do i repeat pregnancy test again? or its possible i am pregnant?
at my age, do i have a chance to be a pregnant?
till now im waiting my menstruation, i don`t have discharges , no pain , etc....
At 42, you are more likely experiencing perimenopause. Talk to your gyn and she will run tests and help you with the symptoms.
No, it's not likely you are pregnant. You are 42, so you might be experiencing perimenopause. Also, have your thyroid tested.
Although it's possible to get pregnant at 42, it's not probable.

It can last 10 years in some women and through this time your periods will get less regular, will start skipping/miss firing and when you get to the point where you have not had a period in one whole year then you are in full menopause.
In my case early on my periods would run normal, late, normal, normal, short (period 2 weeks later - as long as it happens only a few times a year it's not a problem), normal, late, skip, normal, etc.
Now that I'm 51 - my personal best has been 72 days between periods.

I'm getting to the point where I wish it would just quit for good already and be done with it.
The average age for full menopause is about 55 give or take a few years.
Theoretically, you could be pregnant...but it could also be perimenopause....mine started doing funky things right about your age...

I got pregnant (without much difficulty) with my daughter at 41 and had her at 42, and my good friend had her daughter at 43, so you can absolutely get pregnant at that age! However, if your periods have already been irregular it can be perimenopause as well. My periods virtually disappeared after I had my daughter. You have not 'officially' entered menopause until your periods are gone for a year. I would definitely check with your gynecologist and have your hormone levels checked; that can indicate if you are perimenopausal.
