Landscape Architect - Western Suburbs

Has anyone worked with a good landscape architect in the Western Suburbs (I'm in Carol Stream.) Our house is about 17 years old and we need to freshen up our landscaping as well as replace some items that have died.

So What Happened?™

Thanks for all the references. I left a message for Jim Ruhl who called me back within 30 minutes and came out 3 days later to look at our home. He gave us a lot of information about our current landscaping and landscaping in general in the hour or so he was here. Jim is going to work on a design for us, but it will take about 6 weeks because he has so much other work. I think it will be worth the wait.

Well 19 weeks later I am still waiting for Jim Ruhl to give us a design. Contacted him about 6 weeks ago and he said he was behind. If his estimates on his time are this far off, I wonder how accurate his cost estimates would be. I'm starting to think I may live in the wrong zip code for him.

Hi B.! I reccommend Jim Ruhl. My parents has had him do multiple projects for them on their home in Wheaton. It always looks spectacular. I don't have a number for him, but he is local! Hope it helps!

My friend is an interior designer and she works with a company called Couture Landscaping. We had him out to the house once and liked but ended up not needing the work done - we were working on an elevation issue that the city resolved for us. I don't have his contact info anymore, but you may be able to search him, or send me a message and I'll get his number from my friend. I live in Glen Ellyn, I'm sure he works in Carol Stream
