Hi I'm 32 weeks and five days pregnant . I was wondering if there are signs that you will be going into labor in a few weeks I have this deep gut feeling that my baby is going to come early I just don't know when.

What can I do next?

I don't think that there is really anything. The Dr's have some kind of test, but usually only do it if you are having contractions or other problems. I had contractions that would be 3-5 mins apart and regular and painful for over two months before I ended up being induced with both of my last two. So really the only signs are the contrations and/or your water breaking. Good Luck and I really hope that baby stays safe in your belly until at least 37 weeks.

I was late with both kids, one by a week, one by 2!.....with the first my water broke and there was nothing to prepare me.

With the second nothing happened but severe impatience!....i think i even posted something on here for help with inducing.

The plug grows back, it isn't a sign of labor. When you have contractions I think 5 minutes apart is the sign of labor.

All I can say is that when you're really in labor, you'll know it.
I had contractions every 5 minutes apart with my first baby that lasted for a couple hours and then stopped. That happened a few times so when I was really in labor, I didn't believe it. I thought it would be another false alarm.
But, reality set in that it wasn't going away that time.
With my son, they decided to induce me 2 days after my due date. That night I had the worst pain in my back and my legs and strangely, I couldn't eat anything. I thought I was just nervous but then my water broke and I realized I had gone into labor by myself.
My daughter was born 2 days before her due date and my son was born 2 days after his.
It's hard to predict when labor will come.
But it surely will!

Let us know when your baby arrives and best wishes!

All I can tell you is that you will know. Easy for me to say but we all felt that way the first time - will I know when I have gone into labor.

I'm sure there are stories out there from women who will tell you that they didn't feel anything until the last 20 minutes and got to the hospital just in time. But don't worry. Soon you will start going to the dr. every week and they will start checking you for dilation. And eventually, you start to feel some contractions. Unfortunately, labor is a LONG process. Chances are VERY GOOD that you will figure it out. After all, there is quite a bit of pain involved. Then once the contractions start to come somewhat regularly, you will start timing them, etc.

So - yes, you'll know. Good luck. And congrats. And let us know how it goes!!

Well, I don't know if this is a tale, but a couple weeks before my baby born I had the need to clean my house up and down, some people told me that it was a sign that my baby was going to born soon.
Also like Shane said, I was having this cramps like a week before but nothing that will tell me I was in labor, when I finally was in labor I didn't believe it, it was my husband that made me go to the hospital because he saw my paper with my timed contractions 5 min. apart for many hours.
So keep an eye in your contraction's times.

Have you lost your plug? That is a sign that it will happen soon (normally with in 4 wks).
