Has anyone tried the Kroger's brand of diapers? They are so cheap and we are trying to save money because we now have 2 kids to buy for. I just want to know if they will hold well for a 2 year old.

What can I do next?

I hate Kroger comforts! BUT, I use the Walmart brand "Parent's choice" which used to be aweful, but they so rock now! I love them! And they're only $6 a package, which rocks as well!

hi there, from one momma tryin to save money to another - their diapers are just fine (like they said - in the green packaging w/the bee on it)...i read an article in Parents the other day that compared store brands w/name brands and the absorbency was the same, it was the fitting that was different. I can attest (sp) to that b/c they don't seem to be as snug or fitting, but i've never had a leak & he's just a couple months younger than your baby...so...good luck, hope the thoughts help you make a decision! :)

I don't know how sensitive your baby's butt is, but my son could NOT use any of the cheaper diapers....ARGH!! he would get rash after rash and I took him to the doctor finally and he asked if I had changed diapers. I am sure it is the same for other moms who have used other diapers. I don't know, maybe his butt got used to the huggies...but that's what I have used for the last 2 kids and am going to use for my third.

I don't know about their diapers, but their wipes rock. I stock up on those big time.

I got a few packs of those because I used to work there and 10% off them. But, I wouldn't waste your money on them :( My son is 7 weeks and leaks out of them quickly (I tried one size up and down from what he's wearing just to check and see if that was the problem).

I absolutely LOVE the Kroger Comforts Brand! I could kick myself for going with only Huggies and Pampers for my first baby. I have saved hundreds of dollars using Kroger Comforts and Target Up and Up. The Kroger Comforts are so cute with the little bee! They also hold quite a bit of fluid and poop. I haven't had any accidents really -maybe two or three leaks over almost 2 years. That's no more than I experienced with Huggies. Their pull ups are great too!

***I think the other two answers may have been talking about the Kroger Value diapers. The Comforts brand is in the green packaging and is very soft.

I tried them with my son when he was a month old and I HATED them. I put them on him before a 20 minute car ride, and he was covered in pee by the time we got there. They also felt horrible, super papery and rough. I didn't want to put them on my son when I opened the package, but I was out of huggies.
I now cloth diaper and spent $200-300 and I'm set. YAY!
****In answer to the above question. I used the green package with the little bee on it.

hi,
I just try the value package diaper(yellow packaging) on my two years old for the same reason as yours. And i didn't like it .No leak but the diaper made little tiny white ball on my baby bottom .The diaper was probably on for like 3 plus hours .I change him before lunch ,put him down for his nap and this what happened when he woke up from his nap and i changed him.I never had the diaper disintegrating that way with the baby basic yet or the pampers. But there was a cheaper bran than pampers (what we have been using so far) called baby basic (it's green package) and so far i had no problem. However we are still using one pampers for nightime use as they can hold so much.Hope this help.
