Know of Any Great Daycare in Independence, NKC or Liberty Areas?
Hey there ladies,
I have been at home with my children this school year but need to return to teaching in the fall. I had a wonderful in home sitter for them but she has retired! I have never used a "center" but wondered if you all had had any superb or terrible experiences.
I really need to get going on this even though I am not contracted to teach yet! I think the schools that I may be teaching in are Independence, Lee's Summit, LIberty or NKCSD. So ANY info about daycare in these area (in home, centers what have you!) would be AWESOME! Good grief, I hear that there are YEAR LONG waiting lists? Any help or advice would be VERY appreciated!!!!!
Thanks so much!
So What Happened?™
You all are so wonderful! I have gotten some good starts for sure. I think things are headed for the Independence schools at this time.....getting closer to that contract!!!! I would love to continue to receive ANY good thoughts about all day preschools for my son and a great daycare for our "baby" (21 mths!) narrowed to Independence now.
I am so blessed to have found this web resource!
Thanks again and Keep the ideas coming!

Hello, My name is J. Sherrow, I have a 2 and a half year old. I use an at home provider with the Blue Springs Association, She is much cheaper than big daycares and she has a curriculum and goes to the library and takes the kids to educational fieldtrips, she loves the children like her own. She is on the north side of Blue Springs not too far from Independence Center. She is awesome. You can google Blue Springs Child Care Association and her name is Angela Haraldsen!

I don't know of any personally but I worked for the State of Missouri for 7 years and now for State of Kansas and referred many people, as well as myself, to an agency called the family conservancy. It's a referral service. You tell them exactly what you're looking for and where and they can send you a list. The phone number is ###-###-####.
