Knit Cotton Pants for Boy with Sensory Processing Disorder

I can custom make things to his measurements in fabrics that are tolerable to him. I even handle seams differently in cases like this so that the aren't irritating to the child wearing the clothing. My son is also a bit... sensory sensitive... and he is a TALL boy, 4 years old but often bigger than Kindergarten or 1st grade kids. He wears a size 5.

My son has SPD but fortunately, we aren't struggling with clothing (yet). Try http://www.softclothing.net/ -- they have a good reputation.

Also, are you familiar with www.SPDfoundation.net? Our OT went to this year's conference in Seattle and came back with loads of exciting information. Next year's conference location is at the U of TX, Austin!

Have you ever looked at Hanna Andersson (online)? They are pricey but have some nice, soft things.

For our son who has the same thing we had to finally buy basic pants in the little girls section that were pull ons. It didn't matter as he did not know where they were from and with a guy shirt no real way to tell.

My son is the same size but not as picky. I found some pants at Target with a windbreaker kind of fabric on the outside but a very soft cotton lining. The have a fake drawstring (you could remove it) and pockets but because of the lining the pockets are not against the skin and the seam isn't either. Also the Boxer Joe sweatpants are very soft and wear well but some have pockets. They are comfortable enough that my son sleeps in them.

I don't have a suggestion but I wanted to let you know that 'I get it'.

My son does not want any words or pictures on his clothing. Take a look around, most boy's clothing has words or pictures. Aaaah!

I don't know much about sensory processing disorder, but have you looked at Hannah Anderson clothing? They are super soft, organic cotton. Sometimes costco has some of their clothes for cheaper too.
