Kind of a Weird Question

Hey everyone, I have kind of a strange question. I have a new boyfriend and when we have sex we use condoms. The problem with this is that I have a latex sensitivity so I am usually pretty uncomfortable afterwards for a day or 2. Does anyone know of a differnt condom that is as effective as latex or another method that we can use. I am on birthcontrol but I want to make sure we are doing everything we can to not get pregnant. Thanks to everyone in advance!!

What can I do next?

So far my Hubby and I are using the Latex Condoms but He hates it because he can't feel much and niether can I. It is almost not worth it lol.

In 3 weeks i will be getting an IUD put in. It is almost 100% effective(unless it moves?). you may look into that.

I am not allergic to latex, but dislike the smell. My husband and I use Trojan Supra which is a non-latex brand. It says on the box it has not been proven to be as effective as latex, but I am also on Lo-Estrin FE; so I'm not extremely worried. Hope this helps.

I read in a magazine a longtime ago about lambskin condoms. I think it was in playboy. Anyways its worth looking into.

It's not a weird question at all. I’m married and have had my tubes clamped but it failed. I now find out it happens a lot; even if both partners are fixed. So we now use lamb skin condoms (they do not protect against STD)but they don't bother me like latex and they feel better.

I do not have much experience in this area as I am married and have had a hysterectomy, lol! Anyway a few months ago I had to buy some condoms for a game I was doing at a bachlorette party and there were latex free ones there and that was at Walmart, I am sure that they are just as effective as the others!

Look for Polyurethane.

Trojan Supra is the one I found on line. http://www.ripnroll.com/supra.htm

I know how you feel. I have a latex allergy too. We used the lamb skin condoms. They are thinner than latex so you feel more and you don't get that uncomfortable feeling after. They do cost a little more than latex but they are worth it.

There are condoms that are made from polyurethane and others made from lambskin. Here is a link for more info. http://www.goaskalice.columbia.edu/1744.html
