Kids Sick at the Same Time

Hi, I'm dealing with two sick kids at the same time. This hasn't happened before and boy does it stink! They have fever, no appetite, lethargy, nausea, etc. NO FUN! Anyone else ever have two kids sick at the same time?

What can I do next?

We are just getting over this!! My two girls missed school all last week and hubby missed half the work week. Girls were diagnaosed with strep throat and the little one had an ear infection also. Fevers were in abundance in this house (overall a full week of fevers!!). It was not fun and we are looking forward to being out of the house this week even with the upcoming rain! Luckily, I did not get it too bad but the lack of sleep was very hard when dealing with everyone else feeling so bad also.
Hang in there, it will get better!

Yes-and I, too, was often examined by the pediatrician along side the children (5 of them) when they were sick. I put three of his children through college and at least two of them through med school!

Years ago 4 young ones with chickenpox. We were all in a car together for
8 hours. My daughter was the first when we got to our destination. It was
a weekend trip, so we came home. Well within four days everyone had
chickenpox. Thought I would shoot myself LOL. However, we did survive!
Good luck.

Yes.
Plus with a sick Husband too.
What fun. For. Me.
LOL

Just make sure YOU don't get sick, too.
Households don't do well with a Mom who is out of the loop.

Yes, all 4 of us were sick at once. Hubbie stayed in our bed and I slept with both kids in the living room on our mattresses laid next to each other with a trashcan each with a grocery store plastic bag and some paper towels in the bag to absorb the liquid when we all threw up (school nurse showed me that trick). It was one really tough night and the next day was not great either, but we all laid in our "beds" and I could make it to the kitchen for diluted gatorade and to get new liners for the trashcans. After 24 hours we were all a lot better, ate rice and applesauce only (the BRAT diet is reommended after illness: Bananas, Applesauce, Rice, Toast) but the kids and I spent another 2 nights in the living room and watching tv during the day while napping on and off. Good luck.

Yes, last June my whole family had a nasty stomach bug. Both of my boys had it at the same time. Thank God it was at night so my husband could help because they were literally throwing up simultaneously. It was crazy!

Hang in there! This too shall pass!

Yes! I currently have 3 sick with astomache bug & me too!
Baby at least has a diaper to catch the diarrhea, but needs a shower 5-7 times aday to clean up, other 2 are vommiting & going to the potty & sleeping with buckets nearby. I myself have spent the last 2 nights either driving the bus or ridding the bus....

I was just feeling sorry for myself today so thanks for the reminder that others have gotten through it :)

Waaaahhh, still feeling sorry for myself, post some more stories moms!

Before my 4th was born, my hubby, i and 3 kids had the stomach bug. All at the same time. It was horrible! We can laugh about it now. Boy, it sure was not funny that night though!!
