Kids Clothes!!! - Covington,LA

Ok mamas do yall all buy name brand clothes for your children or buy what is on sale, what is cute etc?

I buy clothes from everywhere. Order clothes on walmart, sears, jcpenny and where I can get a steal. I usually get what is cute for my kids and the price. I have 3 kids,so I not a big time spender. I rather get stuff on sale for two reasons: 1 they grow out of them so fast and 2 because i like buying stuff on sale or clearance and used the extra money I saved and buy other stuff for my kids. Also if I find stuff for my kids in a bigger size I usually buy it and put it up for them when they are in that size.

Whats yall thoughts??? Do u pay full price or rather save and get a good deal???

What can I do next?

Kohl's, Target, Penney's sales and clearance are my best friends for new but I also shop at all of the kids resale shops. I never pay full price for anything my husband calls me cheap and friends call me frugal, I call it living like my grandparents. I buy really cheap at the end of the season for next year for both my 4 year old son and my grandchildren. I have not paid full price for anything including groceries for years. I use every coupon I can get my hands on and if their is a deal for $10 off a $50 purchase I will check out twice.

My husband complains because I won't buy his $75 tennis shoes until there is sale and a coupon to combine.

with our oldest (15) he gets what he wants, full price, sale or clearance.... even though I always suggest hitting the clearance racks first! :)

With the other 4 its always clearance... unless its under $10 full price, still then I will usually wait until its on sale... who knows it could be on sale for $5 the next time! lol We hit the different store also... I love JC Penney's sales, its amazing what you can get for cheap!

I agree they grow out of them way to quickly to pay full price or for a name. Who really cares if its name brand.... when if your lucky you will get a season out of the clothes.

I get good deals on cute name brand clothing. The oldest gets brand name deals. The youngest won't be in any item long enough for quality to matter so definitely discounted items for him. Since I need new items every two weeks, buying up a size based on the season helps too.

I buy my kids gymboree clothes but only on clearance. I end up paying less than target or wal-mart most of the time and the quality is much better. My older daughter's target or old navy clothes always wear out or get holes in them and I have never had this happen to a gymboree item. But I will say she usually wears her clothes for 2-3 years before she needs a new size (she is only 10 but is small and doesn't grow a lot each year).
