Keurig or Tassimo

I was thinking o getting a keurig or tassimo coffie maker. I like lattes the best. I do enjoy a good cup of coffie.
The reason I was thinking of getting one is that I love the lattes and I stop at starbucks probably a couple of times a week.
My two kids get a chocolate milk. (Nice drive through) especially w/2 kids. $$. Anyway I would like one that does multiple coffie drinks especially the iced lattes.
Thanks in advance

I stopped sing my tassimo machine because it was getting too hard to find good chices of flavors at a decent price. We are pretty Starbucks loyal so I was sad to lose their coffees, but even the chocies at Target went down to only Maxwell house, no thanks.

We have had both. For lattes you want a Tassimo. Tassimo has Espressos, coffee, and milk T-discs so you can create cappachino (?sp), lattes, etc. You can also get hot chocolate and tea for the Tassimo. The only benefit to the Keurig is that they have a "my K-cup" which you can use your own coffee grounds for so you aren't limited to their brand selections, but Keurig does not have the milk discs or espresso to make the lattes and cappachinos.

I LOVE my Special Edition Keurig w/ 3 cup sizes. My husband thought I was crazy when I bought it, but he soon changed his mind when he did the math. He makes his favorite & I make mine and we don't stop at Sheetz every morning.

I have found several Espresso K-cups at bigcatcoffees.com. They have the cheapest price too, around $0.54/k-cup. And I think there is a latte k-cup too. Big Cat has a referral program and free shipping on orders over $75 and a make your own sampler pack.

One other thing, we have found that we can make a 16 oz travel mug from a single k-cup.

I love my Tassimo. I like the coffee that it has Gevalia is great. Starbucks has stopped their contract with tassimo so they will no longer be having coffee available for tassimo anymore. Yes Keurig has a ton of flavors that you can buy, but I really don't need all those different flavors. I like a few and keep it at that. I love the Lattes as well and make the perfect cup of coffee every morning. I save money from not going to Starbucks. It's basically if you want tons of flavors that you may or may not like, for me it's the simplicity of the tassimo that I like. I don't spend a lot of time looking for flavors, I grab and go. The hot chocolate is good too. There is also tea with the tassimo as well.

I have a Keurig. I am not sure how you would make a latte with it-- don't you have to have espresso for a latte? In that case, you'd need an espresso machine, I think.

I just went through this as my Senseo coffemaker died. Which I loved but the company changed hands and it seems like people hate the Senseo now. I like a variety when I have coffee and the Keurig has more choices. You can also make iced coffee, tea and hot chocolate with the Keurig and I don't think you can with the Tassimo. The cups are not all that expensive if you buy the larger packs. I believe when I did the math it came out to about 60 cents a cup way better than going to Starbucks! I've had my Keurig for a few weeks and I love, love it. I shopped around and found the best price at QVC.

I have had my keurig since they introduced it at the phila home show. (many years ago) It is the original one and still working :) I have a green mountain coffee delivery every 3 months. They have coffees, teas, hot chocolates, iced teas.... all kinds of options. I am sure they would have lattes. Maybe you can check out their website.

I adore my Keurig- but as much as I love it- if you are a latte girl, neither a Keurig or a Tassimo isn't going to create what you want. If you really want coffee and lattes, I would suggest a machine that does all three and uses the Nespresso pods.

IDK about the Tassimo, but my mom's 2nd Keurig just died on her (even after de-scaling it and taking extra special care of it).
She has had it about 6 months. The 1st one lasted about 9 months. :(

So I can't recommend it.

My aunt and uncle have a super nice (expensive) specialty coffee maker...I will see if she will respond to a email. Are you wanting to brew espresso?

I love my Keurig. The pods are pricy but not like buying coffee at Starbucks on a daily basis.

My friend has the refillable pod and puts ground Starbucks in it and brews it at home - delicious!

My brother in Holland has had both and now has a Nespresso and says he likes that one the best, but they are also the most expensive.
