Kennel Recommendations
Hello Moms with pets. I'm looking for a recommendation on a kennel. I have to board my 11 week old puppy in the near future. Can anyone suggest a nice place in the southern johnson county area? I hate leaving him but....
Thanks so much!

I asked in my women's reading group three years ago because I have to go work overseas. A woman in the group who had a dog asked her husband. I pay them $15. dollars a day and he's so well cared for whenever I go away that I get a loved, happy dog back. When he sees this couple anywhere he's thrilled and licks them and rubs against them.
So rather than kennel him (which never was good for my border collie) ask around in any group you are part of many people would be happy for the money they are earning and giving good care to your dog.

Tail's r Waggin at about 152st and Metcalf. We've been using them since they opened. Great facility!
I've also heard good things about Pet Ranch. On 151st between Quivira and Pflumm. Across from the executive airport.

You must check out Pawz at Play!!! They are awesome! They are located in an old day care building on College and 69 Hwy. The prices are reasonable and the care is fantastic! We leave my dog there all the time for boarding plus take him once in a while for free play for the day. While we've been on vacation they have even taken pictures of him and sent them to us plus they have a live feed that records the dogs and you can see if for free on their website. They also separate the dogs into "big" dogs and "little" dogs and there is someone that stays there with them 24 hrs/day. They are super awesome!

I don't live anywhere near you, but you can always stop by the ones you have close and visit them. If you ask them, they will give you a tour. That is what I did with our pup. Just call them up and let them know you are "shopping" and would like to take a tour/see the place. Most are happy to accommodate. :)
