K Baby Shower Favors

Hi ladies. I am having a baby shower at a restaurant for my daughter in law. Centerpieces for tables will be pink tulips. Will
have balloons. Some confetti on tables to brighten up a bit. Trying to stick to "little feet." Invites have sweet little feet on a white
blanket. Anyone have any good ideas for favors. Every favor I ever get goes by the wayside. I am open to anything and
everything. Willing to spend a bit more if it is something that can actually be used by recipient. TIA. You always have good ideas.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Thank you ladies. I can always cout on you all to help me out. So many great ideas. Love the lottery ticket one. I did that when I
got married in 1975. No favors but a lottery ticket. Not one winner out of 125!!! The donation a good idea. I have to read thru
again and decide. If I do favors, it will definitely be an edible. Thanks again everyone. You are the best!

Little sugar cookies or cupcakes with baby feet decorated on them. Or tulip bulbs. Wrap them in cellophane and tie a pretty bow. I love favors and decorating for showers, but not trinkety type favors. I adore other's baby's but I don't need a magnet or a knick knack to remember someone else's child :)

Honestly, I think people put too much into favors. After the party is over, do you really need a trinket to remind you of the party? Consumable favors are always best: cookies, cupcakes, soap, antibacterial, etc...

I may be in the miniority here...but I vote you spare the adults from walking to their car with a cute, bow-tied, miniature candle/frame/scented bath salts/keychain etc. Spend the extra money on a great dessert (or order extra cupcakes, singles boxed to take home to a hubby or babysitter at the end of the party). The only favor I liked out of all the baby showers/engagement/wedding/anniversary parties I have attended was a large chocolate truffle waiting for me a table setting. It was clear that favor was intended to be eaten before the meal (it was a wedding) and everyone was soooo greatful to have something to snack on while we all waited for the bride & groom to take their pictures and wait for all the guests to gather at the reception area. So maybe a chocolate gourmet treat (I've seen fancy dipped pretzels, strawberries or small trays of petite treats with a white-chocolate piped footprint on it? But I think you will have a better chance of having the favor be appreciated and consumed or used if it is presented before the meal or while the guest of honor is opening presents.

What about doing a tulip bulb for everyone to plant? It goes along with the centerpieces and the while concept of new life. You could also do fun and funky socks for "big feet"...you could attach a little note that says something cute about feet! Maybe small feet grow into big feet so enjoy your treat! Lol! I'll keep thinking about that one!

the past few showers I've thrown....I used fresh flowers/plants as the favors, depending on the season. They brightened up the room & were welcomed by the recipients.

I'd skip the favors to take home and have scroll saying "in lieu of favors, a donation has been made to St Jude's Children's Hospital." Or your local Children's. I never have brought home a favor that didn't go in the trash, but maybe I'm a party pooper.

I went to a shower once where the favors were little chinese take out containers with fancy tea bags in them and a little saying about a baby brewing. You could do variations of this depending on what you think your guests would enjoy most. I am a big fan of loose tea, but you could also do coffee samples or tea bags. Package them in a cute little box or some fabric with ribbon. If you have the money you could also put them in tea/coffee cups.

I ditto Kristal J's advice about something your guests can consume at the shower...and if you wanted to make baby feet out of chocolate this is the mold I've used...bought it at a local shop so I'm sure you could do the same, the chocolates were a good size, about 3.5" x 1.5", and look very cute wrapped in cellophane bags with baby feet on them:
