Hi R.,
I moved here from GA too! I lived in Marietta. I'm a member of Mothers and More. I think a previous poster talked about our fine group. :) I've moved a lot and I've found it always helps to join a mom's group, whether it's Mothers and More, Mom's Club, MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) or whatever. These clubs provide instead friends and networking. The three I've mentioned are national groups with local chapters and have website that you can google to find out more. There may also be some local clubs near you which advertise in your local paper.

Welcome to Texas! My grandfathers family settled from Atlanta Georgia to Atlanta Texas about 200 years ago! We still feel GA is home :)

We would love to have you at Mothers and More! You will certainly find someone with similar interst in our group! I have been here five years now and still love it! We are the greater Lewisville chapter, but we cover all of North Texas, with many member in Denton and Corinth. We are a national group with a local feel. Check us out, our national website is www.mothersandmore.org

Hi R.,
Welcome to Texas! My name is S. and I am also a SAHM of a 20 month old boy, Andy. I know how you feel. I moved here from Austin about two years ago. I was pregnant with my son and was very lonely. I assure you it does get better :)

So, why did yall move here? We moved up here b/c my husband got a new job. I used to teach before I had my son, but now I enjoy spending all my time with him.

Hey R., welcome to Texas!!! We live in Corinth and are always happy to meet new people. I know how it feels to be homesick..we have moved lots! Send me a message and tell me more about where you live, your kids and things like that. Maybe we could meet up somewhere the kids could play or something. I have an in home day care right now, but on somedays I can get out of the house during the day, but for sure on a weekend if you want. I also have 4 kids..8-G, 5-G, 2-B, 8 mo-G. Try to get out of the house and do something fun today, even if it is just to take the kids to our terrible mall to play at the not so terrible play place:) Look forward to hearing from you ~A.~
