Just Got Laid Off...

Hi Moms,
I just got laid off for the first time in my life after being in the same job field for 13 years and working with the same people for the past 10. To say I was in shock was an understatement. Two days later I was diagnosed with year long allergies and immunotherapy has been recommended. That involves shots twice a week for 10 weeks, then once a week for an unknown amount of time after that, then every other week, then monthly for maintenance over a 3-5 year period of time. Needless to say, this would make it very difficult to got back to work anytime soon. My question is, does anyone have any information on these legitimate stay at home jobs that were supposedly discussed on Good Morning America or any creative ways to stretch our dollars? I have already cut back all the bills that I could, but we are still short a couple hundred dollars a month to make it. I'd love to hear any suggestions that anyone can offer.

What can I do next?

I'm going to chime in too. I sell Gold Canyon Candles. I'm not very good at pushing sales, so this was perfect for me. They sell themselves. I also didn't know who I was going to sell to. I started with a family and friends party and people love the candles so much my customers find new customers, etc. Plus every single person who buys them once, comes back to reorder. So even if I don't have any parties lined up, I have sales. They are the best! I have looked into just about every at home "opportunity" there is. I keep hearing there are ligitimate secret shopping jobs, but I have yet to find one that doesn't either want you to pay them or simply didn't have any jobs. I have even tried the survey things, but got no luck there. I have 3 children, 10, 9, and 6. My candle business is allowing me to go back to school. I love it because you can make as much as you are willing to work it, or work as little as you want to. You can visit my we site to see what it's about. My web site is www.mygccandle.com/indigoskyilluminations If you want more info email me at ____@____.com and I'll give you my phone number.

Hi L.! I'm sorry to hear about your recent challenges, however this could be the best thing that has happened to you - if you find the right opportunity to fit your situation. There are several great companies out there that do hire people to work from home, you can find some on Monster.com or by contacting a "headhunter" or recruiter.

If you are looking to stay in the mortgage industry, I have a friend that is with National Lending Corporation and they recruite and train Mortgage Consultants to work from their own home offices or from their offices. www.mynlc.com

If you are looking to learn something new - I am with Tahitian Noni International (www.tni.com/buildwealth) and we are always looking for results-driven leaders to join us in our crusade, as well.

Both of these two companies base their marketing plan on building from within, so the income potential is unlimited depending upon how much work you want to put into it.

If you'd like more information on either of these companies you can reach me through my site - www.tni.com/buildwealth or email me at ____@____.com and as a side note - Tahitian Noni Juice has helped my allergies and migraines considerably! I don't know if it would help you - but it would be worth checking into!

Have a great weekend!
J.

I'm sorry it hear it! It has happened to me and it feels horrible!
I don't have job advice but I did go through the allergy series with the shots. Durig the middle of it I moved 4 hours away and the doctor's office would ship me the vials and I had a friend who knew how to give shots give them to me. You should see if they would let you do that and it would help you be able to find a new job without all that hassel.

Good Luck! I hope it gets better soon.

I'm a stay at home mom and I began working independently or at home. I had to choose a home based business because of my husband's military career. If you want more information about the company e-mail me on my personal account: www.my.usa.makelifebetter.com/jlovscottga4. I can also help with those allergy issues, those shots are not something you want to have to keep up with for the rest of your life. I look to hear from you.
