oooh i looooove canolis!!

right now i am on a kick - chocolate graham crackers, made into sandwiches, with light whipped cream, and frozen. about 85 calories each and SOOOO good!

they taste like a combination of oreos and ice cream sandwiches.

i plan to keep a stock of them in the freezer for this summer when all the neighborhood kids are swarming the ice cream truck. we don't do the ice cream man. i will offer my son these instead. we are all in love with them.

i have been wishing i could take them to a party and share their wonderful (low-cal!) goodness.....but being frozen i don't think it's really that feasible.

i'm not a huge baker, stick to the basics (cookies or cakes for the family on the weekend) but i made this AMAZING mint oreo cake for my mom's birthday last year. it was two chocolate cakes stacked, with cream cheese mint oreo icing - YUUUUUM! it was really to die for. probably my favorite that i've ever made.

i guess we have a thing for the oreos ;)

good question! :)

I second joining Pinterest - I've gotten some of the most awesome ideas on there. One of my favorites so far is made with cream cheese, sugar and cinnamon mixed up between rolled-out flat layers of pre-made crescent roll dough, then baked, with melted butter and more cinnamon and sugar on top. For St. Patty's Day at my cousins', I made Mint Oreo Brownies that were to die for. For myself, I love cannolis too, as well as tiramisu. Italian pastries, or Middle Eastern pastries, like baklava, or others made with pistachios.

One time when we had company over, for dessert I broke out our fondue pot and we did chocolate fondue, with fruit, mini-brownies, marshmallows, and bite-size rice krispy treats.

My favorite to make is an avocado cheesecake recipe that's all mine. It's so delicious and surprising. I love indulging in chocolate chip cookies but only the homemade ones from scratch made with butter. To serve at a party I make chocolate chip cookie brownies or dark chocolate cupcakes with chocolate cream cheese frosting. Im an aspiring pastry chef, so desserts are my specialty, I honestley love them all but I love anything with chocolate even more.

I think there is nothing cuter and yummier than serving cupcakes or fruity muffins with chocolate chips on a cute little cake stand. I'm all about the presentation for parties!

I LOVE to make (and eat!) my chewy chocolate chip cookies. I also like to make lemon pound cake. Actually, I love to bake in general so I am always making new things. Those are the two that I bake the most often though! I can't wait to read what other mamas post!

I love baking and making desserts, especially Italian ones. I made tiramisu and cannolis for the holidays and all my family loved them. Those are 2 of my favorites. Anginetti also (Italian lemon cookies), lemon white chocolate truffles, lemon coconut cheesecake, I just love lemon desserts!

I like small dessert squares too, so you can sample a variety. Oh and chocolate of course.. Chocolate cake pops, cheesecake cake pops, chocolate fudge cookies with white chocolate chips, chocolate dipped strawberries, and I also just made some oatmeal banana walnut cookies that were really good. I've been on a baking kick for a while now lol.

pinterest is da bomb for recipes! i have to limit myself there more strictly than i do at MP. not only is it a terrible timesuck to roll through all those recipes, i only have so much time to try them all!
my current infatuation is vegan chocolate frosting shots (made with coconut milk chilled in the fridge instead of butter.) if i'm going somewhere i have a french silk pie that always wins me raves, or chocolate chip cookie dough-stuffed cupcakes with marshmallow frosting. and you just can't beat a good old fashioned pan of brownies. i make mine very plain, but i use the best chocolate (usually ghirardelli) and other ingredients i can find and lots and lots of love.
oh my. now i'm jonesing for a movie-and-brownies afternoon. and me in the middle of nutrisystem.

I make desserts with instant pudding. I use whip cream, crushed cookies, cakes, candies, sprinkles, fruits, etc. It's easy, fast, and always different, not to mention yummy!
