Juice Plus?
I was recommended Juice Plus by several friends for my children. Have some of you tried it? I looked it up on the internet and saw some bad things about it. Has it worked for you? I do have a friend that sells it, so please,I do NOT need to find a vendor ( I would use my friend). I just want to know from someone who does NOT sell it , if it has worked for your kids as far as keeping or making them healthier? Do you still give a multivitamin? Thanks, B.

Due to the abundance of chemicals, pollutants, etc. in our environment today, plus the minerally deficiency in most of the food we eat, any source of natural vitamins and minerals is a good thing. Juice Plus has very good products along with many others out there. Their products are food based, not drugs, so barring food allergies, no harmful side effects. Also, with multivitamins, make sure that what your giving them is not harming as much as helping. Natural is always better. Organic is the best.
After researching this for quite some time, I have found that the key to overall health and wellness is finding a balanced system that 1)addresses all of the areas needed for healthy bodies, 2)has a system that's easy to follow and 3)is fun, doesn't make you feel deprived, and works for your family. I have found a system that works for my family (my husband and I and 4 kids). It's easy, fun, and keeps us healthy and happy. :)

My neighbor and I were just talking about this yesterday. She is using it, and she said that her 2 year old had chronic colds so her friend recommended that she try juice plus and after a while she noticed a huge improvement in his health.

I don't know what's in Juice Plus, B., but if you want to try it, I would ask your friend for "company issued" materials backing up their claims on the health benefits. If she can't provide it, then I would look for an alternative. As for asking if a particular food/supplement works, every child/person is different, and they are all going to experience different benefits/problems. For example, both my mom and I have fibromyalgia (FM), and on Lyrica, but she can only take 75 mg/day because she is having problems with swelling, while I am on a total of 450 mg/day (150/am, 300/pm) and not having any problems with it. Now, with that said, I'm glad you're asking for experiences because too many "negatives" would indicate a major problem with the product! :)
I personally have my son (who will be 3 in April) on Vita Bears vitamins, and he literally *demands* them every single morning! He gets quite mad at me if I forget to order them, and he has to go without them for a couple of days. :)
HTH!

We've been trying it on my son for about a month. It's hard to tell so soon and we haven't been consistent. He had an ear infection the first week we had the pills, and I stopped giving them to him for the 10 days he was on the anti-biotics.... I don't know but I've heard some vitamins can interfere with absorption of the meds, so I waited.
Anyway, it is expensive and we're still trying it. When our supply is up, I'll have a better idea of how much it helped or not.
