Joovy Vs. Sit and Stand
Hello. I have two boys... a 19 month old and a 4 year old. When my baby was born, I bought a double stroller, but now it is so cumbersome to take around with me... I want to purchase and Sit and Stand style stroller but have gotten mixed reviews. I have a 20% off coupon for Buy Buy Baby, which make the two strollers comparable in price. Does anyone have a preference between the Sit and Stand or the Joovy? Thanks.

I have the sit and stand. And I LOVE it. I bought it when my daughter was first born and my son was 3. The nice thing about it is with my oldest (who is now 5) he can walk beside it and hold on, sit on the jump seat, or stand. And he can easily get in and out on his own. It also has a seat belt so I can strap him in. It is bulky, but not anymore so then other double strollers. I have taken off the umbrella, it was just a waste of space. The only down side is the basket underneath. I wish they would make the jump seat able to flip up so that you had easier access to the basket. But other then that I've been very happy, even 2 yrs later, and I bought mine 2nd hand.

I have the Joovy Ultralight Caboose and have been very happy with it. My daughter is almost 4 and my son is 15 months, and it works really well for us. I love the big hood that covers both kids, the fact that my daughter can sit or stand in the back (and - this is key - be buckled in when she's seated), and how easily it maneuvers. I read someone else's post about the basket underneath being small and hard to access... it is small, but it's big enough for the things I need to keep under there (more would just make it heavier), and I think mine came with the neoprene holder for a drink, keys, cell phone, etc. (which is great actually, especially in the summer when I may not have a pocket!). Bring both of your kids with you to BBB and put them in both strollers and see how easy it is to push them around... that will probably be the deciding factor for you. Just be sure you're looking at the Joovy Ultralight -- the original Caboose is heavier and harder to maneuver.

I had the same quandry earlier this year before my 2nd son was born in April. After test-driving them all we decided on the Joovy Caboose Ultralight. We used our BBB 20% off coupon too--which made the price tag much more worth it!
We are very happy with it and it's lightweight, easy to fold up and we found that you can put the baby carrier in both the front AND back (a father on amazon.com figured it out).
That way, if our 4 yr old wanted to nap in the front seat we could go with that option and still tote the little one in the infant carrier. My only gripes after using it for a couple months now are few: 1) With both boys strapped in, sometimes the weight of the stroller "steers itself" along the slope of a sidewalk so it can be a little hard to keep pushing straight without using concerted effort and 2) I wish the foot rest of the front seat was larger/the front seat seems like it could use more butt-space but I guess that was the maker's effort to keep the length short.
All in all, we're very happy with our decision to go with the Joovy--it's made to last. Hope that helps.

Hi- I have a son who is about to turn for and am due with my second in a few weeks. My son doesn't really like to ride in the stroller that much so I decided to get a stroller board that attaches to my single stroller for him to stand on when he needs a break from walking. He calls it his skateboard and is very excited about it. They have them at buy buy baby if you want to look into it. Not sure if you think this will work for you but thought I'd mention another option.

I agree w/ Dianna - I have a sit n stand & love it! Yes it's bulky, but worth it! I have 3 children - 8, 5 1/2, & 17 mo and in a pinch my 5 yr old can sit & the 8 yr old can stand both in the one space w/o squishing one another & I can move all three of them at my pace! My friend has a Joovy Caboose & hates it. The basket underneath is even more impossible to get to, the seat in front for her one year old isn't deep enough & it looks like her daughter is going to slide out (& doesn't look comfortable), the jump seat is too close to the front seat so her son is constantly bumping her daughter in the head, the straps on the front seat aren't very adjustable & look like they are digging into the baby's shoulders/neck & it doesn't have a drink/cup holder for the parents (my sit n stand does) so she got one of those neoprene velcro on things that Joovy sells (for additonal $$) & it blocks the way for her son getting on & off so her son really has to duck (my cup holder is very handy & doesn't impeed my girls at all & was included in the cost). Hope this helps!
