Jogging Stroller Advice? - Thiensville,WI
Hi ladies. Looking for a good jogging stroller for my wife and expecting child in march. Does anybody have any good recommendations? She runs everyday but is not super hardcore or anything. Please help as we are quite overwhelmed with the offerings out there. Thank you!
So What Happened?™
Thank you all for your responses! We will investigate the BOB strollers (overwhelming responses) while looking at the baby trend and InStep ones also. I will let you know which one we decide! The locking wheel is an important feature as the complete jogging strollers have very poor turning capabilities. Exciting times are coming!
Thank you so much for your advice. You ladies are great. Flowers for all of you! Any groups you guys would recommend in order to get to meet people in the Mequon/Thiensville Area ?

I would suggest the Baby Trend Phantom Jogger Stroller. We bought one at Target for just over $100 and love it! If you can find one that holds an infant car seat, your wife can easily take a little one along for a run. The seat on the Phantom lies down and I'm sure baby would be fine in that (bundled up of course) for a short run. Hope this helps!

We're also Bob fans! Can't go wrong with this one. Although I had hoped to use this as our everyday stroller and only buy 1 but running strollers are notoriously bulky and heavy. So it's great if you're keeping it in the garage for neighborhood trips, runs etc. but on a daily basis it's not so easy in and out of the car. For that I highly recommend a snap 'n go when they're infants. It's cheap and light.

I would highly recommend the Bob Revolution stroller! We purchased ours at REI during one of their 20% off sales. The stroller feels like you are pushing a feather and can literally turn on a dime. We compared all brands of jogging strollers and our deciding factor came down to one great feature the Bob has - the amazing, full coverage sun shade. We love it and after 2 years, we have not regretted our decision one bit. Good Luck in whatever you decide!

The Bob revolution is the best! I don't know what I'd do without mine! It's expensive but worth it if she's going to use it daily like I do mine. We just got a double as well since we just had our second.

InStep Safari is very decent and not very expensive.
I have heard a Bob is nice, though that's top of the line for money.
Just make sure you get a swivel wheel. Getting a fixed wheel is impossible to turn. Many strollers have both options. I say this because we have bought fixed wheel joggers before (they say they are the only kind to use for real running), but I found I could not turn them at all. A total waste.
Babies should be 6 months before they use a jogger if the parent is actually jogging, note.
