Jogging Stroller - Waxhaw, NC

I love BOB strollers. You can get them online at many places or at REI at Southpoint. The best joggers have a rotating front wheel. The joggers with a stationary front wheel do not turn easily. You have to lift the front tire off the ground and turn the stroller even make a slight turn. I do Stroller Strides classes and walk and jog with my BOB stroller and LOVE it! The stroller also has a good suspension system. Hope this helps!

i don't know how you feel about thrift stores or consignment shops, but i would start there you would be amazed at what you find,sometimes brand new!

I have the Baby Trend Expedition stroller. I talked at length with the sales associate at BabiesRus when I bought this stroller, so you might want to do the same to make sure it is a good fit for the type of walking/running and area you live in. We live in a very hilly neighborhood, so we decided to get the kind where the wheels do not move independently, esp since we would not be doing a lot of quick turning. We use the brake quite a bit when walking downhill and that seems to work great with this stroller. It was reasonable, about $100 and we have really enjoyed it. We even took it on vacation and walked up and down the beach- it worked great in both soft and firm sand. This stroller is good only for walking/running on roads or in open spaces. Since you have to pivot turn (similar to a push lawnmower) it is not good for walking in tight, crowded spaces. It can also be a little difficult to fold down as you have to use both hands and have strong thumbs. For the money tho, it is a great stroller.

I don't know if you've heard of "play it again sports" but they usually have a pretty big selection of jogging strollers. I would suggest doing this if you're not going to do a whole lot of jogging and you don't want to buy something expensive. I know that brand new ones are pricey. I hope this helps!

I love my In-Step. I didn't do much jogging either, but it's great for taking big strides on a fast paced walk. You can take it anywhere, too. The park, the beach, through the woods even. The big tires allow for you to have more freedom than an regular stroller. Hope this helps and good luck.

BoB is a really good one but pricey. I had a jeep one but when you went to run the wheel would shimmy.

I highly suggest the "BOB" jogging stroller. I am very happy with it. It's light weight, sturdy, easy to maneuver. A little on the expensive side but you definitly pay for what you get. Long term investment!

Kelty makes a great jogger. The most important thing for stability is that the front wheel locks. Craigslist does have a lot of 2nd hand ones, also check out consignment stores, sales. I have seen a bunch that look fairly new at Once Upon a Child.

I have a 9 week old and recently purchased the Jeep jogging stroller. The tires on it are awesome for any surface. My sister-in-law has the same one and her little girl is 18mos and loves it. Both Mama and baby recommend it. We purchased online at babies r us. It's green and black and has a place for your mp3, storage below, and a removable jeep steering toy baby to play with. Well, I can recommend one that will last, but unfortunately not cheap. It's called the Bob and I believe Babycenter.com sells it, but you could probably find it cheaper elsewhere. It goes up to 70 lbs and has great suspension. Wonderful for walking on the beach or any difficult surface. Also, the front wheel swivels for tight situations like shopping.
