Jogging Stroller - Redmond, WA

I'm looking into purchasing a jogging stroller. I’m looking for something that I can take on long runs, and when my son gets older trail runs. I’ve done a little bit of internet research, but I know the best reviews come from moms that actually use them. At the moment I’m leaning towards a BOB, but not sure which type. I would love to hear others experiences with jogging stroller, what they love/hate about it and why they bought that particular one. Thanks so much!

If you have the money to spend I would suggest a Chariot. It usually comes as a bike trailer, but you can buy 4 other attachments. Jogging wheel, stroller wheels, one for hiking, and even one for cross country skiing. I love my chariot, I only wish I would have discovered it sooner. Hope this helps.

Congrats on getting back out there with a 3 month old! I have a Jeep Overland Limited stroller that has served me very well for 2 years (since my daughter was 3 months old). They cost quite a bit less that the BOB, but don't have the pivoting front wheel, if that's something you want to have.

The Baby Jogger brand is great. I live on a farm and needed an "all terrain" stroller to allow for naps in the field. Ours lasted for ten years (2 kids) and is still in decent shape. The fabric didn't even rip! All I ever had to do was buy new tubes (darn blackberries). I love how easy they are to turn with one hand.

Good luck

I love my BOB--It is the best stroller I have ever had. Maneuvers so easily and the front wheel can be locked out for more stability. The 5 point harness is great too-my 5 year old was pushing my daughter and went off the curb and the stroller tipped. The 5 point harness kept her safe and secure-the money was worth it right there!!!!! I have the stroller strides version so it comes with the exercise bands and drink holder (that's usually an extra purchase. The stroller is red (and I'm not a red fan), but it is easily seen:)

I LOVE my Mountain Buggy(s). I have a single and a double. The only thing I would suggest is to make sure the front wheel rotates a complete 360 degree turn. It makes manuvering indoors so much easier. The front wheel should also lock into place for safe jogging.

They were totally worth the money. Merry-Go-Round in Bellevue has a great selection of joggers and you can compare them side by side.

I like my jogging stroller because I used it up to I think about 4 yrs old with my oldest(who now is 5yrs). I am now getting ready to use it with my 14month old son. I did use it before because I was afraid that Arthur would just slide off. I would get one with a attachment for a infant car seat. I have had this jogging stroller for about 6years now and I am still using it. I think it only spent about a year in the garage but that is because I dont like our snowing winters.LOL
