Jogging Stroller

I'm looking to purchase a jogging stroller, I like to run on paved surfaces, generally between 1 and 5 miles. Any suggestions?

I bought a fixed rather than pivoting front wheel which is good higher speeds but difficult to maneuver at just a walking pace. I wish I would have bought the trailer for bikes that converts easily to a jogging stroller (I can't remember the brand ) to have for multiple uses.

I purchased BOB Ironman jogging stroller recently, and I am very pleased with it. It's very light and runs very smoothly. I purchased it online through <www.joggingstroller.com>

I have the dreamer design manhattan which is great for light jogs on a paved surface. It has a swivel wheel that can lock in place for jogging. If I jogged more, I would have purchased the dreamer design rebound for it's stationary and larger wheels. The company gets great reviews for their strollers and I've been very happy with mine. The adjustable handlebar is a bonus considering my husband is much taller than I am.

If you're considering the dreamer design, I purchased mine on ebay through back bay bargains for a fraction of the retail cost.

Hope this helps!

I just bought myself a "Bob" and love it... it's very smooth and is really comfortable for my 20month old.

I have the Expedition by Baby Trend. It is a great jogger that goes anywhere. Good price at $99.00, not alot of extras, the basket is small, but if you are jogging I'm sure you won't have alot to carry. It rides smooth and goes over grass with ease. The sun shade is not attached to the top of the stoller so that it can be moved to block out the sun. The only problem I have had is that the parent tray came off, which I'm sure was my fault for not closing it the right way. But the manufacturer sent a new one right away.

Hi A.,

I just purchased a BOB SUS jogging stroller (2005) on joggingstroller.com
It is a great website and offers free shipping and the cheapest price I found. You want to get a stroller that has a fixed front wheel for safety reasons. Even if the stroller has a swivel wheel with a lock, it can still be dangerous if you plan to run.
