Jogger Stroller Question

From what I understand you are not supposed to jog with a baby in a jogging stoller until they are 6 months old. Can anyone tell me why? Is there some milestone that my daughter will pass prior to 6 months that I can look for so that I can use my jogger earlier? Has anyone used their jogger prior to 6 months?

What can I do next?

I bought a BOB Revolution jogging stroller from REI. They're not cheap, but it's a great stroller. You can buy an attachment so that you can hook your infant car seat on it just like you do in the regular stroller.

Babies will have more muscle control at about 6 months, meaning they can support their upper body better. If your jogger reclines or supports an infant seat, then I believe you don't have to wait; just make sure her neck and head is supported.

My jogger reclined all the way, and I would take my kids out pretty young in it. I just used one of those head/neck supports for them to sort of wedge them into place securely, and used paved jogging trails so it wasn't too bumpy. Neither one had ill effects from it, and it definitely helped keep me sane! Happy jogging!

The previous person is right it has to do with muscle. At 6 months a baby is much more in control of it's upper body and this keeps the head and neck safe while jogging. Also they shouldn't wear sunblock until their 6 months and should wear it while out jogging.
