Jobs for Mommies??

I got laid-off about 4 months ago, was an apartment manager, and the owner sold the property, and I am having a heck of a time finding a part-time, nights and weekends kind of job now. I stay at home with my son during the day while my husband works to save us money on daycare expenses, but it's been real h*** o* his income alone. I have sumbmitted at least 20 apps now, and nothing. These are just retail kind of jobs. Is the Colorado market bad right now? Am I competing with High Schoolers for these jobs? I need another income, does anyone have any ideas, or need help anywhere?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Hey ladies.
Here's what I found. It's called West Corporation. It's a national teleservice center, which outsources calls to your home. You become an Independent Contractor so you make your own hours. You start out in one area, but can quickly move into another, where it's more focused on one product or one company. Anyway, you can work as little as a half hour, or as much as you want, as much as you can get. They have direct deposit, or send you a sort of Debit Card if you will, VISA, and they load it for you every payday. You do have to take out your own taxes, but it's great to work from home, in your PJ's, and now I don't have to leave the house at midnight, I just go into another room! It's been difficult for me for the past few weeks, the calls are so random, (I will explain further if anyone asks), BUT am now eligible to become certified in something else, so I'm going to start training for the Home Shopping Network...how fun, talking to those people and placing their orders. Usually the people who call in HSN orders, are excited about what they want to order, it'll be a step up, more fun! Thanks for all the advice I did receive, this is a great website!

The business I do allows you to change you point of purchase for all the products you buy and you get money back based on how much you spend. Since you have a pretty large family you can probably save like costco and receive a check for the money you are spending anyway. Here is a link to my store and if you want I can schedule a time online to show you all the things you can buy from yourself. I don't know if you are interested in selling insurance. It costs about 100 bucks and maybe a 2 days of studying to get certified with the state to sell it but if you are interested in selling Aflac and making upto 50k per year from a home office with residual income, benefits, 401k and profit sharing you may want to try them. You've seen the duck commercials on tv just go to aflac.com and look for recruiters or careers.

And you are right CO job market is yukko right now it doesn't matter what you are looking for because I'm looking too darlin and for fulltime with a college degree and lots of skills there is virtually nothing.

If you need a contact person, Shoot me an email at ____@____.com

Hi K.,

I know it's been forever since you posted this. Finding the right job is really hard. ESPECIALLY if you are looking into at home opportunities. If you are still looking for that perfect at home biz, I'd be happy to chat with you about a company that is changing life for me! No pressure. Just let me know.

Hey K. I am so there with you! I am a young grandmom and just got my grandson who is about 3yrs old put in my care because my daughter needs to clear up a ticket that turned into a warrent, needless to say I have to find daycare, the work I do is with catering but the problem with that is it is at crazy hours, have you considered day care in your home or even work nights for someone like walmart or kmart, that is my daughter had to do in order to save on daycare I would watch my grandson at night. Good luck, and yes Colorado job market sucks big time,
