JFF-- What TV Shows Do You Watch?

So I was TOTALLY into the HBO series "Game of Thrones" and CANNOT WAIT until season 2 begins next year....in the mean time, I am looking for another show to get into.

Other shows that I really loved are The Tudors, Big Love, and Spartacus (though I try to watch it on On Demand so I can fast forward through the gratuitous sex scenes)

I don't need any more reality shows--I've got enough of a Bravo TV addiction already.
I don't need any book suggestions--I just began reading "The Song of Ice and Fire" series (Bk 1 is Game of Thrones) and that should take me MANY months to accomplish.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Ok, so in the past few months I have watched a lot of tv on Netflix.

Here's my new obsessions:

Breaking Bad on AMC -- it is really tough to have to wait for the final season to come to Netflix
The Walking Dead on AMC - I caught up on S1 & 2 with Netflix, and have been enjoying S3 as it happens

I will be starting either "Sons of Anarchy" or "Dexter" in the next few days.

Doctor Who, since it's relaunch in 2005 with Chris Eccelston, is arguably one of the best television shows I've ever seen (and I've watched way too much television in my life.) If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it. You can catch up on Netflix. And in England, it's considered a children's show, so the content never gets gratuitously violent or sexual.

In Plain Sight is also well-written, Psych and Royal Pains are good summer fare, and I love White Collar! My DVR never has a dull season.

Not a lot. LOL
Can't find anything I really like, then when I do I forget when it comes on and miss it. But I do like
Chopped on Food Network
The new Falling Skies that just started last Sunday
Waiting on the next season of the Walking Dead to start in the fall.

My son and I have also done a lot of Dr. Who and its spin off Torchwood.
I like a number of British shows -
Keeping Up Appearances
MI-5
Are You Being Served?

We also love all things Josh Whedon and caught both seasons of Dollhouse through Netflix.

Hmmm, I guess we do a lot of sci-fi, british TV, and zombies around here.
LOL

This is so lame. I don't really get to watch TV. Thanks, kids. When we're not watching Looney Tunes (old school, thank you) The TV is usually off.

But here's what I DVR all the time and hope to one day be able to usher the children out of the TV room long enough to be able to watch:

-The Daily Show - Jon Stewart is my TV boyfriend
-Cash Cab - I ride the stationary bike while testing my mind with inane trivial knowledge (Who married Charro? Why, that's Xavier Cougat, that's who!)
-Project Runway - C'mon July!!

I don't watch TV much, but being from Hawaii, of course I watch Hawaii 5-0.
LOVE Alex O'Loughlin. What a hunk.
My son & Husband actually met him at the mall, and he took a photo with my Son.
Alex told my son "Hey Buddy, don't be afraid, how you doing?" and he crouched down to my son's height and hugged him and took a photo with him. So cute. Both of them. My Son now loves Alex.

And I also like to watch "Nikita" because the star of the show, is a local born woman from Hawaii. Born and raised here.
I also like the show.

I like to support shows with Hawaii connections.

I also liked "The Office."

And cooking/gardening shows, and House Hunters.

My favorites TV (past and present... because of netflix and hulu, I've been marathoning quite a bit over the past 2 years that I'd never seen before). I'm probably missing some that I watched as they came out, but as I didn't watch anything for 7 or 8 years, I had a LOT to catch up on :) Any with an asterisk are still playing
