....have you ever had experiences with ghosts, spirits, paranormal, etc?

Can you tell us about it?

The house I grew up in (my mom still lives there) is definitely haunted.
There have been periods of activity for about 45 years.
It pretty much began, oddly enough, after the use of an Ouija board in the house....

What about you?

What can I do next?

LAST NIGHT! Okay, I know it may be in my sleep induced head, but I swear something happened.

20 minutes after my husband and I fell asleep, I felt something next to me, nudging me and I woke up. In the space in between my husband and me I saw a boy's face, very near me. I thought it was my son - even though now I know it didn't look like him. I reached out and said, "honey, what's wrong?" and the face vanished.

I am normally completely freaked out by the idea of that kind of thing. But I felt such gentle care for that face, it really didn't bother me. I woke my husband up to tell him about it, though!

Hell no, and Rachel D has had a lot of activity at her home and asked us once if we would move if it happened at our home. My answer to that was that I would be in the Guiness Book of World Record for fastest move out of a house! So no, I have not had these experiences because my life is filled with Christ and there is no room for such things. =)

When my son was first born and I would nurse at night there were some lights that flickered. To this DAY I'm convinced it was my grandparents telling me they were watching over me. My son also would look over my shoulder and smile. It was very sweet.

I miss them terribly and REALLY miss them yelling at me to "TURN THE LIGHTS OFF!"

Even IF that isn't what was happening it was VERY comforting when it happened.

ADD: for all you non believers my in-laws paid to have our electrical updated (by fire fighters no less!) in our 100 year old house as a gift and it was done before our son arrived so it WASN'T faulty wiring. :)

I have the ghost of a 3 or 4 yr old little boy living in our house. He's harmless and sweet and playfull, if not a touch annoying. He climbs onto the foot of the bed just like our kids do, we feel a kid climb up and look down - noone there. He opens the door out to our garage. Everyone has seen that happen. You'll be sitting on the couch watching tv and the door opens, get up go close it sit down, opens again. He'll get in the computer chair and spin just like my little boy does. I'll hear the chair spinning behind the couch and yell at my son, and he'll come running in from a differant room. He even came with me in the car once. I felt his feet hitting the back of my seat just like my son does in the car seat. He was there when we moved in and he's just a member of the family at this point.

I have had experiences with the supernatural since i was a little girl. My house in Florida had what I called " shadow people", and often would find them in the hallway between mine and my brother's bedrooms. I never was afraid of them, but they were always there.

My parents house in TN is quite active. I have actually had a spirit talk to me as well as speak my sons name. My brother saw an actual person walking in their hallway, called out to it thinking it was my husband, and it disappeared. They hear people talking in other rooms, footsteps, clicking noises, lights on and off, etc. I heard bells ringing while I was sleeping along with voices talking in their dining room.

My son has had visits from both of my grandfathers, and would talk with them in his room all the time when he was very young.

I had O. experience with an Ouija board in my teens, it was a negative O.. If you use it properly it can have many outcomes both positive and negative. In my experience I saw a physical form , with a devilish face. I took it as a warning to not delve in deeper or ask any more questions.

I have had many warnings, premonitions , dreams, spirits visit me, and I have the upmost respect for the supernatural world.

O. and done. yes, but "spirits" including "familiar spirits (deceased family members)" are in fact demons. And you are onto something. Certain activities give demons access to you. Ouija boards are O. of them. I feel your eyes would be greatly opened by reading a book called; Lucifer Dethroned by Bill Shnoebelen. While you can find it on Amazon, it is cheaper by far if you can locate his ministry directly to purchase it for $15 (we paid $60 used for a copy of this controversial and out of print book on Amazon ). I have passed this book along to no less than 8 or 9 people who said it was life changing in how they view the spiritual world. Just briefly, Shnoebelen was a Catholic turned atheist, turned wiccan to black witchcraft to Satanism to Mormonism to Christianity. Uhhh, he has some interesting insights. Please feel free to email me in private if you want to continue this conversation.

We had something in my son's room. It was a brand new house on an old cotton field. I have no idea what but he would hear something going through his things every night. He would see a small creature walking around his bed. It never looked at him or bothered him but would seem to be looking for something. Going through his stuff, looking under the bed, in the closet and behind the door. It scared him to death. O. time it was walking around his bed and my son prayed silently to himself that God would make it go away. Immediately, the creature looked at him and disappeared. We moved!

When I was a young child, about 3, I had a spirit that would visit me. He would come after my parents tucked me in. Sometimes we would talk. My mom would hear me talking after she put me in bed and come in and ask WHO I was talking to? She concluded it was my "imaginary friend" but he was really real to me. I remember these conversations, and they weren't me making something up. SomeTHING was talking to me.

About a year ago we were being visited by a very sad spirit. I would be going about my day and suddenly I would feel incredibly sad and I would get the picture of a funeral in my head. Now, spirits communicate directly to you, usually by pictures and once in a while by words. This was a spirit communicating to me. Also, my cats would go nuts as if they were sensing something. I thought I was maybe going crazy so I asked a member of our church what to do. The church member said to tell the spirit to go to a hospital to get a body. (We believe that you are a spirit with a body, and when you die you go to the body of a baby and are reborn). The next time I was watching a funny show on TV, the spirit communicated to me again, the same pictures. When a person dies, they often get stuck in grief over their passing and evidently this spirit was stuck. So I said "wow, that must be so sad for you. There is a hospital nearby, go and get a baby body."

The spirit left and I haven't had those feeling since.

I've never had any malicious spirits around that I'm aware of. Mostly a spirit is thought without a body so they can't harm you. But evidently some are mischievous! I hope not to meet any of them!

I'm totally open to hearing from my relatives that have passed on. Whenever a light flickers at home I say hello to my grandma, cousin and FIL that have passed. Makes me feel better.

But about two weeks ago, when I opened up my Yahoo Mail, it appeared that my deceased FIL had emailed me. (You know how your new contacts' UNOPENED emails show up on your homepage?) It was very odd, it was an email that he had sent me in 2006 and it showed up on my homepage. Still had the original date on it, etc. I was floored; this has never happened before and didn't seem like it could be a glitch. I told my MIL about it and that I felt he was saying "Hi" and her first response was that someone hacked my account. Of course that's not true, there was no evidence of it.

Anyway, later that evening, a DIFFERENT but also old, opened email from him showed up on my homepage. Again, already opened years ago by me, but there it was. I told her again about it and she herself called their internet provider and there had been no activity on my FIL's account in ages. She again kept insisting that someone had hacked my account.

I just finally replied, "You know, I'm just going to take it as a "hello" from (FIL)_____. And I think he chose me because I'm obviously the only O. who would believe it!!!"

Our house we live in is haunted ( I explained it in Rachel D's question about this). I have lived in other houses that have activity and have seen many things/ people.

But the strangest O. ( as if any are really normal) was...
I was sleeping in our previous house and woke right up and there was a lady ( heavy set) standing at the foot of our bed. I closed my eyes and opened them again and she was still there. I asked her want she wanted. (thankfully) she didn't say anything, but smiled and was gone. Then about two years later I was in the kitchen and saw a lady ( thin figured) standing by our laundry room. Again I was able to look right her. Then she was gone.

A week after that my grandma passed away. We were going through all the old pictures she had that I had never seen and I found a picture of a thin lady standing in front of a house. I couldn't believe it!! It was the same lady I seen in my kitchen. My aunt told me that was my great grandma. I had never met her. Then a few pages later I found a pic of the other lady I had seen, standing by a gravestone. My aunt said that was also my great grandma, but years later.

I got thinking back and the first time I seen the lady, a few days later my grandma got really sick and we didn't think she was going to make it. It's comforting to me that even though I didn't know my great grandma she was coming to me, I think to let me know that no matter what happens grandma will be ok and will be with me. Since grandma has passed I have never seen my great grandma again. Its nice thou that I have seen my grandma in my dreams :) I would love to actually see her thou.. even if she is in a "ghost" form.

*** I do not believe that all spirits or ghost are demonic!! If that was the case then why would we pray to the Father, the Son and the HOLY GHOST?!? Are some ghost's/ spirits demonic... I absolutely believe they are.. but not all of them! ***

OK, I'm generally not a superstitious person, but there was definitely a ghost in my Dad's church, which dated back to the late 1800s. He was minister there and told us that once he was alone in his office and heard a woman's voice singing out in the church.

I encountered the ghost twice. I used to clean the church on weekends when I was a teen for some piddly amount of money. O. time, in the late afternoon, I heard someone strike a single note on the piano out in the parish hall. Naturally, I went to check if someone was there, but there was no O. and the door was locked.

Another time I was cleaning very late on a Saturday night and I began to feel uneasy. I finished cleaning the church area, closed the door between the church and parish hall and started working on the downstairs parish hall first. There was a terrible smell down there. I finished quickly and went to work on the upstairs. I felt more and more uneasy, to the point that I picked up the phone to call my mother - I wanted to see if she would bring over my boombox so I could listen to music while cleaning. The phone was right next to the door that led back into the church - the same door I had closed firmly about 20 minutes earlier. Now the door was ajar and I very clearly heard someone breathing on the other side of the door.

I totally freaked out on the phone, screaming that someone was in the church with me. Honestly, I didn't think ghost - I thought "psycho killer". I have no idea how I got out of there as fast as I did - the church had O. of those locks where you need a key on the inside as well as the outside and I had not left the key in the lock. My dad ran the block between our house and the church in probably about 3 minutes flat. He checked the church through and through but no O. was there.

Needless to say, after that day I never cleaned the church late at night again! :)

Well, you guys already know about what I've posted on here (and not O. of them beginning with a Ouija board, LOL!!)... we still have our playful/pesky poltergeist, or whoever's here. It's not harmful, just getting old! It's more of a nuisance having to straighten picture frames, and I've started dead bolting the basement door.

When I was growing up, I had seen things that didn't add up... like a school camp out at Ringwood manor, we kept seeing lights in an upstairs window, almost like someone had a flashlight, but no O. was supposed to be in there. The school reps with us called the police, only to find out that it was a normal occurrence, and it was the 'ghost'... they wouldn't even come out to check it out, it happened so regularly.

A lot of other thing's have happened in dreams, only to mean something in real life (whether something was going to happen, or just something to watch out for)

There have been many, many other things, too much to post on here!

Fun question, can't wait to read the other responses.

I am an empty nester. I have a home that is about 25 years old. I live alone and my boys are grown. I have a ghost in my home. Pictures get moved, tissue boxes get moved. I'll make my bed in the morning and I'll go back in there later and there is a "dent" like someone sat on the bed.

My dog will bark sometimes at nothing...I personally have no sightings of it - he or she. Don't mind it being here.
