(Yeah, its like telling a child NOT to do something. :P )

...Anyway, this is a question about "The Keeper" (innovative feminine hygiene products that are worn internally, freeing women from dependency on cumbersome, uncomfortable, expensive, paper-based products.)http://www.keeper.com/

Do you have one? Do you love it or hate it? I am considering getting one.. just not sure if it is worth every penny... as some claim.

What can I do next?

I've had the Diva Cup for 6 months and I LOVE it.

To the mama who said this "hit her gag reflex," I wanted to say...I understand. I was kind of shocked by the idea when I first read about it...but then I researched. And I bought one. I've found my Diva Cup to be 100 times less gross than tampons. There's nothing filling up my trash can or being flushed into the environment. And even toileting is far more enjoyable...since it all stays UP THERE.

Since using this product, I'll tell you...I'm more grossed out by tampons and pads than I ever was. A menstrual cup is extremely hygenic, safe, and actually a joy to use. I don't have to worry about getting TSS and I don't have to be dependent on getting to a restroom every 2-3 hours! This is especially fabulous for me as a Soldier.

ETA: Leah, there is no smell. And yes, you can use it with an IUD. Here's what the Diva Cup FAQ says (just search IUD): http://www.divacup.com/en/home/faqs/

Hmm. Never heard of it. But just clicked on your link. Sounds interesting. For $35, doesn't sound toooo incredibly harsh. Did you see they have a little math on there? -- "10 years of using the cup .... 29cents each month, compared to $4.00 per month on conventional products...."

If you really hate pads and tampons, I say try it. My period only lasts about 3 or 4 days, so I would likely never buy this product. Interesting though.

Diva cup user here. (3 years?)

Love it.
Totally worth every penny.
Wished I would've found it sooner.
NEVER EVER want to go back to the old method.

I had a hard time swallowing the cost but finally caved when I found it for $14(shipped). Figured I'd finally give it a shot, and now? Mad that I didn't do it sooner, but I totally realize this is not for everyone.

Copycat! I was asking about this type of product as well last week :) I had several responses - the Keeper, Diva Cup and Mooncup. Very positive feedback. Not sure which one I'll choose. I had no idea there were so many choices.

Mooncup user for 5 years, love it!!

So convenient, so easy to use, less messy than tampons or pads once you get the hang of it. Completely worth the money; if you figure one box of tampons costs $5 and lasts 6 months you spend $10 a year. My Mooncup was $30 5 years ago; so I am currently $20 ahead and still saving! Of course I'm completely guessing on the cost of tampons and how long they last since I haven't used on in over 5 years, lol.

ETA: You can use it with an IUD. No, doesn't smell, everything is "up there" so nothing out in the air to cause odor unlike a pad or tampon string. And I agree with Christy P - the thought of using a pad or tampon now really grosses me out, much ickier.

I don't get it, do you leave it in there the whole time, like for DAYS? It kind of grosses me out too, I've never heard of them before but it looks like a lot of women swear by them. I don't really get how they "work" so maybe I'll check into it further. Good luck!!!

I've used the DivaCup for years and LOVE it! I've saved so much money, and I love not having to change a tampon so often. It's great!
