Jff- Do You Experience Food Let Down?

Me and my husband do. This is when you get food that just isn't very good (happens to all of us I'm sure), but instead of just moving on, you feel let down about it most the rest of the day. I know its silly. Drives me crazy when my husband does this (especially if its a meal I cooked) The man will seriously mope about it until he eats another meal. Today i had some great leftover pizza I was looking forward to. But instead we were out and about and I ordered something that just didn't do it for me (Thai chicken wrap- trust me it sounds better than it tasted). Now I'm irked that I didn't get to eat that wonderful pizza. Total food let down. that was over an hour ago, I should be able to let it go. But I can feel it in my stomach and I'm mad about it. Is this common or are we strange?

What can I do next?

Lol. Kinda strange. This is why I always order the same thing. If its not broke, dont fix it. ;)

I had a flat coke at this restaurant. I sent it back and got a flat mountain dew.

I'm still down about it.

That was February.

2010.

Yes. I tried to eat a Twinkie a few years ago.

DISGUSTING.

My entire childhood down the drain. Utterly meaningless. All those years I thought I wanted Twinkies. Such a tragic waste of what could've been a very productive life.

:(

@DOP-Whatever. Ahem, I mean I apologize. AH-HAHAHA! And anyway who holds a grudge against SODA for TWO YEARS?! Now if your COFFEE sucked......
;) Ya'll are killin' me today!

I watch what I eat very carefully. It is a major disappointment when I splurge on a high calorie meal and it tastes horrible. what a waste of calories.

This is why most people are reluctant to try new restaurants.

yes I do!
I also have it when there's something I haven't had in a long time and it's not as good as I remember it.

Yup. If I get a food craving, I might as well go buy it or the ingredients to make it. Because until I do, nothing else will satisfy me.

I get annoyed when I order something in a restaraunt and it's nothing like the description or I skim the description expecting it to be the way I would make it.
Once I ordered Green Chilii Chicken enchiladas and they came covered in red sauce....on chicken? yuck. Green sauce, sour cream sauce, anything but red on chicken! I couldn't send it back - that's what I ordered. So I sat there looking like a spoiled brat eating a lemon.

Absolutely, the worst is when you're already full, but not satisfied. This is why I too am usually reluctant to try new places.
If I'm at a restaurant and I've only had a couple bites I will definitely send it back and request something else. Food letdown is a major pet peeve of mine.
