Hi there! I would like to see if there are some really interesting Jello recipes out there. I am in charge of making a jello-type dessert for the kids at Thanksgiving next week. There are 10 kids, ranging in age from 11 to 1. I have looked on the internet a little bit, but would like to know some tried and true, and original recipes that work great. Anyone have one? Thanks a lot!

This one is cute. If you do it in sturdy clear plastic cups it looks like little fish aquariums.

1 package jell-o berry blue gelatin mix
1 cup boiling water
2 cups ice cubes
gummy fish

Dissolve Jello in boiling water.
Add ice cubes, stirring until Jello thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
Remove any unmelted ice.
Spoon Jello into to clear-sided bowls.
Poke 3 or 4 gummy fish into each dish of slightly thickened Jello.
Refrigerate 30 minutes to set.

This is a family favorite and all the kids love it.

1 large box of strawberry jello
2 bags of frozen strawberries
2 med size tubs of cool whip

Follow the directions for amount of hot water to use to make jello. Add hot water to jello mix and stir according to box directions. Instead of adding cold water stir in the frozen strawberries and then the whipped topping. Chill for a few hours.

Go to www.jello.com. That's where I get all of my jello recipes. They have some there that I think are fairly unusual.

I just make two boxes of blue jello place it in the fridge as described on the package, then about 30 mins before dinner I take it out mix it with my mixer and and kool whip to it (nice and fluffy all the 38 grandchildren love it).Place it back in the fridge until your ready to eat.

Hi L.!

The kids in our family our Jell-O fanatics! Their favorites are the strawberry pretzel jello (it's jello w/ strawberris on a crushed pretzel and creamcheese crust) here's and recipe:

and also the rainbow jello, which is layers of different colors of jello in a ring or pan - it's very impressive looking :) Here's the recipe:

There's also the standard jello ring that has the top 1/2 plain jello and the bottom half jello with cool whip mixed in.

No matter what recipe you end up using, the kids will love it - it's jello!!!
