IVF - When to Try?
Has anyone had more success in doing IVF in the summer / winter/ spring months? Or have any of you heard of when would be the best time to try IVF for a 2nd time? My first cycle was in Aug last year & my egg quality wasn't that great. Read yesterday on a fertility web site that the summer months are better than any other month & just wanted to see what you all thought. Thanks.

I would try acupuncture along with your ivf bc it statistically has been proven to increase your chances.

i don't think it matters when you do it. i did mine in october, and it worked with the first try. i think for implementation my doctor had said i know this is going beyond what's needed but to stay lying down for 48 hours, i did.
so whenever you're ready emotionally i think you should do it.
good luck

I had an incomplete cycle ( I developed OHSS) in early summer/June. I hjad an unsuccessful FET in early fall/September. Then I decided to take a break for the winter and had a successful FET in early spring/March. I also chose to undergo acupuncture for fertility. So if it was due to spring signifying beginning or giving my body the extra rest or even the acupuncture I am not sure. Best of luck to you, I know what a rollercoaster of emotions you must be having.

Do you mean for a second time after an unsuccessful first time? I had a bad batch of eggs the first time, and it didn't work (starting in November). We started with the very next cycle, in March. The second time has been successful. I don't know any of your particulars, but I have never heard that the season matters.
