I've Got Good Clothes to Give Away!

Hello Mama's
Just wondering if you have any ideas or know of any body or place that could use some good clothes? I finally have cleaned out my closets and have two full trash bags full of clothes to give away. Most of this is really good stuff that I have outgrown or just changed my style. Most clothes are gap, express, limited, some lucky jeans, etc...there is summer and winter and most are size 8 in pants ( jeans may be a bit bigger) and most all xs or small tops. I had a baby 5 1/2 months ago and my body has just really changed, so although I can still wear some of the tops, they just fit different. And as for the pants, well lets just say I hope I fit in a size 8 again because I still have a closet full of sizes 6-8 to wear! Some of the clothes are more stylish and trendy and some are just good old staples. Some are in incredible shape while a few things are pretty worn but still wearable.

I know I can donate to good will but I thought maybe some one needed some of this or knew of some one who does. I live in the Keller/Watauga/NRH area.
I hope some one can use this stuff!

Thanks so much for your responses. I have tentatively set up to meet with some one who I will be giving everything too. If for some reason it does not work out--I will contact some of the others who responded! I am so thankful some one can use this stuff--and tis great to know of all the charity locations and shelters--I am filing that info away for the future.

Are you selling these or trying to find good home for them? Lol. I am interested in the jeans. Since I have not had the money or time to invest in some good jeans without holes and stains. Lol. I wish I could fit in the shirts but medium is about it for me. I live in Keller area off 35. Thanks.

The Veterinarian takes everything to East Texas to needy families, he doesn't advertise his outreach but it has definitely grown by word of mouth. He is a very kind, loving person who has dedicated his life to helping others.

GRACE (Grapevine Relief and Community Exchange) can always use them. Their website is http://gracegrapevine.org/. It's a great organization for helping families get back on their feet financially.

If you take them to the "It's New to U" consignment shop on Hulen, anything that she can't sell she will donate to the FW Women’s Shelter and provide you a tax receipt.

First of all welcome to the metroplex. Congrats on your new baby and yes I do remember how hectic it can be with the first child even though it was 38 years ago that I had my first one. Now about the clothes. You can take them to any of the local womens shelters where women leave abusive situations with only the clothes on their backs. Here is the number for Safe Haven donation center and they will even pick things up. To arrange for donation pick up, call ###-###-####.
I have been in this area for over 36 years and this is a wonderful organization for battered and abused women. I hope you have a wonderful day and be blessed.

This may sound silly...if you are concerned that you will not fit into them, wait at least a year...it took me at least that long to completely recover my prepregnancy body....just a thought.

If that is not it, then I would contact you local CPS or police station and ask them who would accept your generous donations.

Have you thought about finding a womans shelter... that might be a good place to look...
It could help out a battered woman feel good when she has nice clothes!
