It's Just Not Christmas Until.......

.....my back has snapped at the spine from hunching over while wrapping presents. (That's my task for today, but sure enough, it happens every year! )

It's the signal to me that, ready or not, HERE COMES CHRISTMAS!

It might be sitting in church on Christmas Eve, tasting that particular baked goodie that someone in your family ONLY makes for Christmas, watching your kids unwrap stuff on Christmas morning.....

So for YOU, how would you finish this sentence: It's just not Christmas until........?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

H&HMomma--your response made me laugh. Growing up, the expression in our house was: It's just not Christmas (or Thanksgiving, or dinner, or Wednesday) til SOMEONE cries!

I cry. LOL

Usually it's the day after Christmas but I always, always, always get the post holiday blues and end up spending a bit of time crying...it never fails.

On the non-emotional side - when it FINALLY snows - always makes me feel like Christmas is right around the corner.

Love it! You are so right about that. Maybe this year I will wrap them at the table instead of hunching over on the floor...my kids and husband are going out of town for a day this week so I can pull everything out instead of locking myself up in a bedroom to wrap gifts.

It's not Christmas until....

I have gained 5 pounds from all the holiday treats
I cuss out my sewing machine after trying to make something crafty for the holidays
I decide I can't stand anyone (don't worry, I will like y'all again after the holidays!)
I decide I need to go on a fast/cleanse/get on an antidepressant/rethink my life... The holidays just seem to hit me HARD! UGH!

we get on the plane for FL wearing flip flops and short sleeved shirts under our winter coats! Up until that moment, it just doesn't feel like Christmas.

A major appliance breaks down or one of the vehicles needs repair.. unfortunately. Always seems something big like that happens around the holidays around our house :)

At my house its not Christmas until we put kids in pjs, grab some hot chocolate and go see the lights in the famous neighborhoods.

At my in-laws, God Love-em, it's not Christmas until someone is pissed off at someone else.

I get a period! In the throws of perimenopause, I get about 4 a year. Christmas, Easter, vacation, and Back To School.
