Just wanted to casually comment that at least in my school district, there's no school today. I'm beginning to wonder how many other places don't have school today! How about you?
**Sorry, mamas, didn't think anyone was going to take me seriously. It was a comment related to trolling questions...as there still seemed to be some lingering around Monday morning. Our school districts were out for an inservice yesterday.

It might be due to snow days in some places.
I hear the mid west is getting pounded with more winter weather again.
We have school. In fact we have never had a snow day, not even last year when we got 133 inches. We do miss a couple days each year after our annual ice storm we seem to get every december. When you live somewhere like Alaska you can not go closing schools over something like snow!
we had a foot of snow with blizzard conditions all yesterday and we only had a 90 minute delay with the schools :(
We have school today and so far only rain rain rain. BUT I suspect it will be pure ice by evening. It's already cooling down in the house.
It's going to be worse here because of the ice, it weighs more than snow and stays on the power lines and connections until the weather just warms up.
I totally expect school to be out for the next few days. Some schools announced on the OKC channels that they would close early but not ours.

None today due to the snowstorm. I got a Rave Alert from the just to stay home as the campus was closed today and no classes would be held and it was at 5.02am on my phone. Don't know about tomorrow. The sun has peaked out for now.
I can't get out of town as all roads are closed.
We usually don't get storms like this at least not in the 20 or years I have been here. I did get several storm warnings on my phone yesterday about the pending storm's approach so we stocked up on supplies after breakfast.

I know at least portions of Oklahoma are out of school for snow/ice/sleet/blizzard that is supposed to be coming today. :)
I know alot of districts give at least president's day (2/18) off.
My son was off last week for winter break but they are back to school today. :-) S.
We had last Monday off for Louis Riel day, but there is school today. My kids stayed home this morning after being sick on the weekend, but I am sending them this afternoon. If they are well enough to drive me crazy then they are well enough to be at school.
why is there no school? snow or prez day? our kids were off last monday.
