Thanks for all the great advise. My sister has a slight case as well and she told me about the following:
Dr. Oz: Natural Remedy For Rosacea | Oz Approved
Pineapple & Cottage Cheese For Rosacea – Redness of the skin: Take one cup of cottage cheese, 1/4 cup pineapple minced. The secret is in the rind of the pineapple, the hard fruit part of the pineapple. The pineapple is full of juices and vitamins and it’s going to decrease the redness of your skin with it’s kind of a secret anti redness ingredient. The cottage cheese is like milk that is going smooth and calm your skin which should give you a much more glowing skin.

Hi,
I have it too and I'm taking an oral medication called Oreacea that my dermatologist swears I need to take. So far I'm not noticing anything. I've tried metro gel but I don't feel like it does anything either. Lately I've bee thinking about having the laser treatment.
Let me know if you get any good advice!

My BFF has rosacea...and was treated by a dermatologist for it.
I also know that use of sunscreen is a big part of it.

I have found rosacea can be caused from Candidas ( yeast)
Candidas can be controlled and even overcome using a specific diet known to stop feeding the candidas. Extra nutrition, and Nutrition for the skin. It does NOT go away overnight, but it does with consitent effort.
Let me know if I can help more.

I have rosacea. Went to the dermatologist and got the special cream which worked but was way out of my budget to use daily the rest of my life. I found increasing more pure/filtered water and taking vitamin E orally every day works. I also used tea tree oil or vitamin E oil topically for out breaks to soothe the skin. It also seems to help to avoid spicy foods but I have been told that shouldn't make a difference. Good luck.

Hi Mimi,
Rosacea runs in my family a bit. Here is what those family members use:
1. Cetaphil.
2. Fragrance free simple products -- aquaphor for example.
3. Drink lots of water.
4. Lessen 'hot' spicy foods.
5. good physical sunblock ---
6. no alchohol or fragrance products.
7. check out paula begoun -- the cosmetics cop website. she has tips for rosacea sufferers as well.
HTH.
