Is Your Christmas Tree up Yet?

Or all your Christmas decorations? I haven't even begun. You would think its still summer w/outdoor toys all over my lawn, and Halloween w/my kid's costume currently sitting on my coffee table.

Hopefully we can put up our tree and get some decorations going by this weekend. Wish me luck!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

If your tree is up, with or without ornaments, then you are waaaaaay ahead of me. I am seething w/Christmas jealousy.

Ok ok I'm getting on it! I'll pull out my storage bins of decorations as soon as I get off mamapedia...deal?

Mine is up. Is it (and the house) completely decorated? No.

I was sick for a couple of weeks so now I'm playing catch-up. I'm making it a good time by playing Christmas music all the time. The tree will be beautiful and the house will look good. It won't be as fancy as it sometimes is, but I'll enjoy Christmas anyhow.

Yes. My son's birthday is the first week of December, so we never put the tree up before his birthday. However, he is off to college, so we can put it up whenever we like!

This year we did something we've never done before and bought a pre-lit tree. Between traveling for Christmas and being able to actually put it up early, we decided to not have a real tree. They are so much work and dry up and worry me over the possibility of a fire hazard.

So the new tree is up and we are thrilled because it looks very nice!

Tree up and decorated, outside/inside lights up, all the decorations hung, cards mailed out 11/30, some baking done, presents bought and few wrapped and under the tree!

We put ours up the weekend after Thanksgiving. Did our outdoor decorations too - fortunately, the weather was mild!

Yes. It's a 2 wk adventure for me. I put the tree up with only lights on Thanksgiving weekend. Then in the evenings that week I let the kids "decorate the tree" with cheap balls and plastic ornaments. I let them touch it all they want that 1st week and get it all out of thier system. That next weekend I redecorated it the way I want it. Finally now, I have all the garland hung, all the lights, all the wreaths, it's completley Christmas now. I love it so I drag it out.

Nope, I haven't started yet either. We're doing all of that this weekend (decorating, going to cut down a tree, etc.). The following weekend I'll do all of my baking & am taking the entire day off of work on the 22nd to wrap all of the gifts.

Yep, if we don't do it over Thanksgiving break, it won't get done! Good luck!
