Is This Site Slow or Is It My Computer?

Does anyone else find that this site is very slow? It seems like the pages take forever to load. I'm trying to figure out if it's my computer or my connection....I don't seem to have problems with other sites. I notices there's a lot of ads, maybe that's why.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for the Firefox add-on tip. It's still slow, but better

In a nutshell, it's the ads. If you notice, you'll see this site trying to connect to tag.admeld or see a Javascript void error at the bottom of the page.
You can fix this problem by installing an add on that blocks advertisements. I use AdBlock Plus with Firefox. Otherwise, I would never be able to respond to any posts as it gets all hung up on bad javascript from these advertising sites.
Hope this helps.

Yeah I had some trouble yesterday with some ad that was hanging things up.
If you use Firefox the following helped:

Tools > Options > Privacy Tab > about in the middle is the 'Accept Third-Party Cookies' option - set it to 'Never'.

I forget if you have to restart your browser or not but it helped quite a bit.

I'm at work right now (slow day), so it's not as noticeable. When I'm at home, I definitely notice the difference. It feels like some of the ads take a really long time to load. I can't even send flowers until the ads finish loading.

It's all the ads they allow on the side. Some sites even have videos. I have limited bandwidth in my internet and once I use that amount my speed declines to a crawl. I'd rather do away with the ads all together but they need them to get funding to keep the site running.
