Loose skin can only be removed. BUT ..... I did a ton of ab excercises after my kids. Under the skin were strong ab muscles. I went to a plastic surgeon and talked about a tummy tuck. The tuck is loose skin but they also cut you muscle, it rips during pregnancy and doesn't usually heal perfectly, and restitch the muscles then cut away the skin. I had done so many ab crunches and leg lifts and just ab excercises that my muscles had healed very well. I only needed half of the surgery and it was a lot cheaper. I also had a quicker recovery and a lot less pain since my muscles weren't cut. Go to a plastic surgeon, mine was Nahai (the son) at Paces Plastic Surgery, he does free consultations. I think you should go do a consult find out about the cost and financing, work your abs for a year and see where you are in your life. I had three inches of skin removed from my lower belly. I was grotesquely pregnant. I feel awesome having it gone!

If you have any questions message me on mamasource.

I was informed that the excess skin can only be removed surgically, but if you are not done having babies yet, now is not the time to consider it.

I agree with the other responses to exercise and go for a free consult even if you think you can't afford it -- financing is a great thing! I hope your divorce wasn't too terribly painful -- though I don't see how a mommy of such young kids could have gone through anything but... I hope he's paying child support at least...

P.,
I too have the same skin problem (have 3 yo twins) and have been told there's nothing to be done about it other than a tummy tuck :(
Would love to have this done too, but too expensive!
Good Luck to you- you will make it through this tough time.
Blessings,
S.

Good question, as I, too have excess skin on my stomach. I went from 105 lbs to 186 lbs in both of my pregnancies. I'm blessed to be able to lose the weight, but the extra skin seem to add to my waistline. I hate it!

I did see in Atlanta Parent Magazine an advertisement (not sure if it will work), but...it's called

Welcome to motherhood! Just kidding - we are all shaped differently before and after pregnancy. I believe if you are already exhausted more excercise isn't what you need to worry about - although it is a stress reliever! I will say that after having twins at age 17, it actually took my body with exercise about 2 years to get back to somewhat a normal shape - but never have I lost down to a smooth stomach. I have since had two other children by c-sections also and gave up ever seeing a somewhat flat stomach. Not all of us are the same though - so good luck and best wishes. I have seen others that it worked for them and if you are already a size 7 - Kudos!

I think a tummy tuck is the only option... lipo only removes fat, which you don't need. Good luck with the tummy, and with the kiddos!
