Is There a Support Group for Working Moms?

Hi, I just joined the group. I was just wondering if there are any other moms out there who want to socialize with other moms, but feel left out because they aren't strictly "stay-at-home". There are plenty of support groups for stay-at-home moms, and I understand this. The stay at home mom needs connections with other moms so they don't go crazy, because it is a really tough job. But us working moms don't always get the chance to have any fun with other moms. At work, I have to be professional, and there aren't many other women there. At home, I don't feel like I fit in with the stay-at-home moms because I can't do a 10am playdate on any given Tuesday. I would just like to meet some other moms who can relate to the challenges of being a working mom, like having to be late into the office because your son threw up on your clothes as you walked out the door, pumping milk in the bathroom on your lunch break, and having to discuss poop on the phone in front of all your co-workers! Is there a group of working moms in Bethlehem Township?

What can I do next?

I don't know if there is, but sign me up if you find one! I am not in Bethlehem Twp, though; I am in Fountain Hill, just the other side of Bethlehem. I am married and we have one son who will be three on Halloween. We planned on a second child but have had a pretty rough year trying - hopefully things will pan out for us in the next few months.

I also am working and am finding it near impossible to juggle work, child, home, family obligations... pretty much everything has just fallen by the wayside just trying to keep up!

Hello....as far as I know there is nothing like working moms group in Bethlehem.I am working mom of 1 y old boy (34) ..and I feel the same way. So maybe we can found something together..Even though it might be quite difficult since it is only weekends that we have left :-)

Hi. I am L.. I have a group on meetup.com. It is in Carbon County and it is called Stay at Homes moms but there are a number of moms that do work so they would be able to relate with what you are going through.
It is a great group of ladies and children. We use the message board alot to talk to eachother, vent, everything.

If you have any questions you can email me at ____@____.com

I hope you find what you are looking for even if it is not in our group.

I do also schedule events on weekends at least once or twice a month, maybe that helps. :)

I think this would be a great idea! I'm a working mom too, and I have a 3 year old son. And on the weekends we try to do different things and I'd love for him to have friends his own age to play with. It's hard to find that. If you find anything out about this, let me know. Maybe we could set something up together. I live in Bethlehem Twp too.

I have not been able to find any groups for working moms in our area.
I just recently went back to work full time and would really like to connect with other working mommies!
If you find anything, please share!!
Perhaps you'd want to get something started?

Or maybe you could find some moms through matchingmoms.com

good luck!

I understand where you're coming from. I work full time and have a 2 year old. I belong to a Play Group, but hardly ever get to participate. Even when they have evening get togethers simply because I have such little free time. You have to keep up the house, the yard and spend quality time with your child and husband. Not to mention trying to have some "my" time. Try finding time to get together wtih other moms and it's really hard. Then come the weekends and that's when I do all my running around. Once in a while I find time for getting together. Their is a mom and her 2 year old son I met through matchingmoms.com and we manage to get together on average once a month. That's nice when it happens. Anyway, I'm not a leader, but a follower, so if anyone starts a working mom's club, I'd like to hear about it.

I am 27 and my daughter is 9 months today. I have been working full-time since she was 8 weeks old. I would love to get ideas from other mothers and tips on how to manage things better.
