Is It Normal?? (Part 2) - Tampa,FL

My son is 17 months and he is very active.... Besides climbing every single furniture I have at home, he LOVES to put toys in baskets, bags, drawers and empty them as soon as they are full. He can spend 30 min doing that... Is that normal?? What does it mean? What is next?? lol....
Thanks
N.

What can I do next?

Shhhhh....he's male...and he's "organizing"! Don't make any BIG moves and maybe he'll keep it up!? Send him over when he's done there.

Just remember to check your trash cans before you dump them. I have found toys in the trash and we have shoes that have lost their mates.

Totally normal! And a great sign that his brain is "working things out"! What a great kid!

That is normal. Just let him be and show him how to clean up when he's done.

Sounds like a typical boy to me.

What's next? Chandelier as a trapeze?

Yes, it drove me nuts but this is totally normal and a big part of development. Rest easy.

My 18 month old does this too... he's totally OCD about stacking stuff, putting it somewhere, taking it out, lining it up... as far as the climbing... my kid's a ninja monkey. It's so bad. He'd climb the ceiling if I'd let him. Yes, it's normal. As far as what's next... he's going to hurt himself real bad one time, and learn not to do THAT again ;)
